Yay - just booked the hotel for our DDs' first Christmastime visit to DLR. There are a few events that we want to hit during our trip. I am assuming that the park will be close to capacity on the days we are there. We're arriving Saturday Dec 18 - hoping to get a little time in the parks after we check in, through Tuesday Dec 21 (leaving on the 22nd.)

We definitely want the following:

Christmas parade 5:30

Jedi Training

Aladdin

Fireworks

What time should I stake out a spot/line up for each of these events?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Aladdin - at least 30 minutes.

Jedi - see "Jedi Training Academy Tips" by Hound 109 www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1478699

Fireworks - 30 minutes - 45 is better

Parade - 30 minutes will probably be enough

For JTA, If it s a busy/crowded day and you want a seat in the front row, get there 25 minutes before the show starts!

And definitely read Hydroguy's JTA thread!

I think you mean the link I provided to JTA written by Hound 109. :)

Based on photos from last year, if you want to be seated on the curb for the parade, I would advise 45 minutes. We were there about 40 minutes prior and got one of the last spots on the curb. If you want a bench... that's about an hour, maybe more.
