Please help me feel better about our deal

We are staying at Pop Century Sept 25 for 4 nights 5 days- 2 adults 1 child- kids stay and play free promo- 4 day MYW tickets but NO DINING- we are paying $880 for 4 nights. We are in between 2 free dining deal periods in Sep and Oct but I cannot change our res because it is $75 per ticket to change our flight. I still got a pretty good deal right? (Please say yes)

plus our flight is $99 each way per person on Airtran

would you add QSD and pay for it? or just pay as you go? we tend to eat 3 meals a day plus we want mugs

You may not get as much out of the mugs as you think - they're only good at your resort. You can also buy them in the food court if you really wanted them. How much would you save with free dining? Is it worth the penalty to change the air and come during a free dining time? Even if you didn't save anything, but could add dining for the same price - or even more - you'd still save in the end because your food would be covered.

When you throw in that airfare you got a GREAT deal. I have room only that I got with a pin code a few months ago. Now that the free dining is out, I crunched the numbers and I am staying put with the deal I have. It might be convenient to have the QS dining plan, but if we decide (family of 5 adults) to have ONE sit down meal somewhere, any saving I have by switching discounts goes right out the window. Combine that with the fact that we plan to go spend a day at Universal and the room discount is far better for us.

Yes, it sounds like a good deal. If you think you want to add the QSP - you can check some of the counter service meal prices at: all ears . net. I did the math and decided we would try OOP this time. Our week didn't fall in the free dinning zone either. I've done free dinning and pay dinning and honestly, it's a lot of food, and your tied to your adrs. It is fun however to eat at the various Disney restaurants. How much would you wind up spending per day on the QSP verses out of pocket? If you think you would get value, then go for it.

thanks everyone- we did OOP last year because we got a room discount and I think we will just do OOP again this year- now just hoping for some great weather at the end of Sept !

I think I would go OOP rather than QSDP. You'll have more freedom to do what you want so you can throw in a TS or two somewhere.

I love the regular DDP because we wouldn't do the TS meals without it (not because we couldn't, we just wouldn't ). We are paying for the DDP because the FD dates didn't work for us.
