Please Help Me Decide....

I would love it if anyone can help me decide which of the value resorts to stay at --- it is between ASMo or POP. This will be our third trip, both of the others times we stayed at the POLY and the CR, I am afraid that our expectations are so high after staing at a deluxe hotel we will be disappointed( don't mean to sound whiny). I really do think though that the way we go all day the only time we really are in the room is to sleep. Our kids are DS7 and DD5, we will be there from 10/1-10/8. My husband says that this is the only way we can go back so soon, I personally want to stay at the POR(hoping for a code)but I would sleep in my car if I had to. Please help me to decide which one to choose and ease some of my fears.. Thanks... This is my first thread by the way.....

First off WELCOME to DIS! You have come to THE place to help you with your planning. There are lots of very nice people here who have lots of WDW knowledge. Now for your question...the only value we've stayed at was All Star Sports since our family are sports nuts. I'm quite sure that other than the theming ASMo is nearly the same. We really enjoyed Sports. I too, was worried we'd be let down staying at a value after staying at moderates and deluxes but I was pleasantly surprised that we weren't disappointed at all. I think it depends on what you are looking for in a resort and what your expectations are going in. When our kids were younger and we spent a lot of time at the resort, in the pool etc. the resort was more important. Now that we spend sooo much time at the parks we really just need a clean place to shower and sleep. Of course if I had an unlimited budget....but with 3 children we simply don't. I've heard great things about Pop. It is the newest of the value resorts and it's buses are for that resort only, no stopping at others which is a plus. I think you'll be happy with whichever you choose. Look at the photos and go with the one whose theming you like the best. We're staying at POR this summer because I got a really good email pin rate but I would stay at a value again. It sure beats staying home!!!

Im going through the same thing - we've been staying at the WL our past few trips
this Aug however there is no way I can afford 14nights at a deluxe so we're starting with 5 at Pop
Im going with the mindset that it is the mini-vacation before the vacation - will do Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Quest during those 5 days besides the parks so we will hardly ever be in the room
We'll wait till we get to WL & BCV for our relaxation vacation

I would choose Pop over all All Star resorts. Good Luck choosing!

Id stay at ASmoives. Its all about the icons and themeing. After deluxes, we were diappointed with moderates. But we loved the AMS because it was so much fun. POP is cool too, but your kids will recognize more and be more impressed with ASM.

ASMo or ASMu is my vote. I've been at all 3 of the All Stars but never at the POP so I can't really compare them to the POP sadly. But the food courts at the All Stars are phenomenal. What type of theming would you prefer? Gigantic Play-Doh or Gigantic Musical Instruments, Dalmations, etc? I think the ASMo has funner looking resort rooms but again, thats just a personal preference.

My vote is All Star Movies - to me it has the best Disney Themeing of any of the value resorts. You have the Toy Story Section, Love Bug, Dalmations, Fantasia, Mighty Ducks. It is a fun resort. I've seen pictures of Pop and just don't think it looks as fun as All Star Movies.
