Please help me decide?

Our home resort is BCV. We have stayed there twice in a 1- bedroom and love it! My dilema is, we are planning a trip for this fall to use our APs one more time, but we only have enough points for a studio. It is just dh, ds6 and I, so I don't think this will be too bad! But, so I want miss my 1- bedroom too much at BCV we have decided to try another resort! We have only stayed at one other DVC resort-Vero Beach. We were thinking about OKW or VWL? Any suggestions or opinions to help us decide between the two?? Thanks for any input!

I would say VWL,i love the feel of the resort.
but the studioes at OKWare biggerthan any of the other resorts.

I too love VWL. I haven't stayed at OKW yet, but plan to sometime. One thing you might want to consider is that while other studios have a bed and a sofa bed, OKW has two beds. Sometimes it's easier not to have to make up a softbed, unless of course you want to use it as a sofa during the day. Also parking is so much more convenient as OKW.

I love OKW. The rooms are bigger than at the other resorts. I have not stayed in a studio, but I would assume it would also be bigger. One of the reasons I like this resort is that it is quiet and laid back. After a long day in the parks, it is just nice to come back to somewhere quiet and peaceful.

I really can't compare with VWL since my next trip is the first time I will stay there.

I have the same dilema as you!!! We used up a lot of points this Feb, and only have enough left for a studio for our July stay. We're doing exactly what you're planning on doing, stay at a different resort. We've always stayed at VWL in a one bedroom, this time we're trying BCV in a studio. It will be tight, DH, me, DD 5, and DS 2. Luckily DS will probably sleep in a pack 'n play, so DH and I can get the bed. I also suggest trying the new resort, that way it will be different, at least that's what I'm hoping!!! Hey, VWL is my FAVORITE resort and I think your DS will LOVE the pool there. The pool at the villas is better than the main pool in my opinion. Lot of bubbles coming up from the bottom and hardly ever crowded!!!! Enjoy your trip!

The studios at OKW are bigger, about 45 sq. ft, but they only have rooms with 2 queen beds. The other studios all have 1 queen and a double/full size sleeper sofa. So, when you close the sleeper, you have more floor space, and a place to sit, that isn't on the bed.

And like other have said, VWL is a great setting. DVC sure does offer us many great places to stay. Where ever you end up, you will be at a GREAT resort, and at Walt Disney World, what could be better than that?

Those are the 3 WDW DVC resorts I've stayed at-OKW, VWL, and BCV. For decor, I think OKW and BCV are my favorite-both light and airy and for me, restful. However, the fact that VWL and BCV each have one bed and a sofa bed vs. OKW, which has 2 queen size beds, is something to consider. On our first DVC trip I was used to watching TV from a bed, since I'd always stayed in a hotel room, so OKW was OK. Now that I've been "spoiled" with a DVC couch, even though I love OKW, that might be a problem, not having a couch, if I was to consider staying in a studio there again. However, if I was going with my son, who wanted a separate bed, I'd be tempted to go with OKW, so we both had "real" beds, instead of only one. Tough choice!

Like other the other's have said, you'll have to decide if you want to have a sofa bed or 2 Queen beds. We've stayed at both resorts and I personally like the studios at VWL better. (It is my home resort though )

I like the layout at VWL better. You have the vanity area that is seperate from the bath room and I like the living area better. The benefit of OKW is that you can park right in front of your room, however, depending on where you are located you have to get in your car to get to the main pool area. I like being able to walk to the pools at VWL.

kept in mind that OKW has the lowest points - so you might be able to get a 1-bedroom here - look at the point different before you decide on the studios.

Thanks so much for all of your input! It was a hard decision to make, but I booked OKW for 10-5 thru 10-11. I would appreciate any advise on requesting a good location if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks again!
