Help!
I think I'm thinking too much about where to stay while in Orlando for 10 days beginning May 3. I have reservations at the Wyndham on International Drive, but I keep trying to decide if I should change to Diney's All Star Music. (that's the only one available now) Anyway, I got the hotel through expedia.com and it is part a a package but can change for a small fee. Any great thoughts that might help me decide?

Thanks

I personally don't like the I drive area--too congested for my piece of mind (and driving ability:D ) If I could stay at the All Stars I would. But that's just MHO.

And I am against All Stars.... Tons of great hotels for much less in Orlando, LBV and along 192. I would choose one with breakfast and a fridge and be saving big dollars from the start.

Before you change your reservations, what made you decide on the Wyndham in the first place? I am not familiar with this hotel but I know the reasons we have decided to stay offsite (at Hawthorn Suites LBV) are: 1. Free breakfast. Saves money, saves time 2. More space and fridge in the room for free 3. No extra charge for a third adult 4. We will have our own car so travel to the parks won't be a problem. I am not sure how many of these things really apply to your situation. Have you heard good reviews about the Wyndham? I think if it were me, I would stick with my initial instinct and not change now unless I heard something bad about my first hotel. I know there was a point when I wanted to change over to the All Stars too, just because it seems like it would be neat to experience on-site but for us the cost-saving benefits far outweigh the novelty. Good luck with your decision and I hope you have a wonderful vacation no matter where you end up staying!:)

JMO--We have stayed at the All-Stars 3 times w/ adjoining rooms b/c we have 5 children. On last trip, we stayed off-site in 2 BR villa w/ all conveniences and we'll NEVER do it again. I know all off-site hotels aren't bad, but we enjoy being enveloped in the "magic" all the time. We felt off-site like we left the magic and entered the rat-race every day. Since we need larger accomodations for our family, we ended up joining DVC so we can continue staying on property. We'll probably stay at All-Stars when we are short of points b/c it's a fun place to be. (One more thought--they are running a special at AKL for $139 nt--mod & value cheaper--the codes I saw on mousesavers.com. We LOVED Animal Kingdom Lodge!!) Good luck & enjoy your trip!!

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I stayed last year at POR and loved it although we left feeling like we needed at least one more day. I bet no matter how long we stay I'll need at least one more day.

I had great reservations at COR with a good discount that was out in March but cancelled and got this hotel on Expedia.com. It was for $70 a night and was a 4 star hotel. My appetite for a deluxe hotel overtook me when we stayed at the Disneyland hotel over Easter weekend and I wanted a Deluxe at WDW but there is no way (even with a discount /code) we can afford. So, I thought offsite deluxe type could satisfy us. But now I want onsite. I'm going to call expedia and find out the cost for a change, (and there will be one) and see if I can justify it.
Also, has anyone ever done a resort magic package? It would cost the same as an AP for all three of us. I can't see us going back in less than a year but :p hehe :p perhaps I can work it in.

I think I'm talking myself into moving to WDW.

Thanks for reading and responding!!!!
