Please help me decide re: Frozen Summer Fun day

We arrive on Sunday September 6 in the afternoon. I have gone back and forth about how I want to do HS. These are my 2 options:

1) Go to HS on Sunday arrival day (recommended day) and do what we can, staying for the Frozen fireworks, but not seeing Fantasmic (because I think it will be too much of a time crunch). Then go back to HS on one the other evenings that week to see Fantasmic and do whatever else we didn't get to.

2) Go to HS on Monday (Labor Day, not recommmeded because of PM EMH) and just do a full day there, seeing the Frozen fireworks and the second showing of Fantasmic (this is the only day of our vacation that there will be 2 shows)

If we go with option 1, we will miss the Frozen "parade"/welcome procession. I like going with option 2 only because we can get everything done at HS in one day, but I am worried about the fact that the crowds may be higher due to EMH. We usually go during low crowd times, so I am spoiled a bit and don't like crowds. Touring Plans has HS at a CL 5 on Sunday and a 4 on Monday. But my gut is telling me that Monday will still be more crowded than Sunday because of the EMH.

I would highly recommend reading his detailed explanations of why he rated each park what he did.

Also, take a look at the home page of easywdw, he very recently posted a review of hitting all the Frozen stuff in one day, might be helpful for you!

Oh yes, Love Josh's site! I have read it all. Still like the idea of getting it all done in one day though. Obviously, under normal circumstances I would just go on another recommended day. But Frozen Summer Fun ends the 7th, so that is my dilemma. (Fireworks are main priority)

Josh has (as I recall) DHS as a "3" crowd level on the 7th - that's not bad. I would go on the 7th if I were you and get everything done. We moved our trip up one day to see Frozen Summer Fun and will be there on the 7th with no hesitation (and no other option - unless they extend it!)

We went Wednesday and again today. It's so hot that doing a full day is very exhausting. We did the sing-along and saw both parades from different spots. Also saw the Frozen Fever short.

Having 2 parades makes it so much easier to find a parade spot without waiting an hour, like people had to last year. And I really like how the parade makes two stops. If you can add that to the schedule, I think that would be a good idea.

Is there any chance you can do the fireworks on arrival day and the parade another day? It's not too difficult to go from the fireworks to the 2nd F!, but it is tricky to go from F! to the fireworks.

Yes, in my option 1 above, fireworks would be on arrival day, but we will miss parade because we won't make it to HS by 1:30 for the second one. The only other day we could see the parade is the next day (Monday the 7th) since that is the last day of Frozen Summer Fun.

If we do option 1 we won't do Fantasmic until another night later in the week (after Frozen Summer Fun is over).

Yes - Josh lists the overall crowd level as a 3, as does Touring Plans, but Touring plans has a 4 for HS that day.

If you like Frozen, I say go for which ever optimizes your time at DHS. The fireworks are great and if you love them as much as I do, then you could see them twice. IMHO, they are much better than F!
