I have been dying to stay concierge at Disney for some time now. I am finally going to do it and treat my mother as well. I am not exactly on a tight budget buy definitely don't want to break the bank. I have a 2 week trip to Japan in May 2005 so I have little time to save for a huge trip in August 2005 to Disney. I am only planning on a quick 4 day trip. Which concierge do you guys suggest?

This is the second time I am staying at BWI, I have stayed WL,poly and YC all concierge and once you do it you will be spoiled for life. I don't think I could ever go back to standard, you get pampered. I didn't care for the poly, they were pretty cold, YC I loved, WL was good to, BWI seems to be the one for me. I love the people, location of the hotel, I love the board walk alot, for 4 days it shouldn't be to bad, you are going to get spoiled, you'll see. Have a FUNtastic trip no matter what resort you stay in, I think it is a win win situation. Think about what parks you are going to frequent more, use the monerail access, let us know what you decide on.

Oh and my parents went to Japan and that was a dream for them they loved it :D

I vote for the AKL. The food in the lounge is wonderful and you can do the sunrise and sunset safaris!!::yes::

Definitely BWI or AKL Concierge - the best Lounges, Cast Members and Planners!:Pinkbounc :bounce: (IMO)

I am a BIG fan of splitting stays. Our family starts out by staying 3 nights at a Magic Kingdom resort - this trip will be the Contemporary. It is so nice to just walk back tot he resort from the MK while everyone else is waiting for a bus, boat or monorail. While we are at the MK resort we go to the MK and the AK.

Then we switch over to an EPCOT resort for 5 nights. (EPCOT is our favorite park that is why we stay more nights here) While at an EPCOT resort we go to MGM and EPCOT - so nice to take the ferry or walk. This trip will be the Yacht Club.

Splitting stays isn't too bad as on the day you switch you pack up your bags and go to a park and Disney will move you. Later that day you go to your new resort and check in - not bad!

We have stayed at the AKL, Contemporary, Polynesian, BWI and Yacht Club concierge and enjoyed them all. If I had my choice for favorites I would split between the Polynesian and the Boardwalk Inn - altho I do like all the others.

Have fun!

I've stayed at BWI (1x), YC(1x), BC(1x), AKL(3x), WL(1x), PR(2x), and GF(1x) in CL.

The only one I wouldn't return to is the GF. The WL isn't on my short list, nothing terribly wrong, but it wasn't as great as the others. YC was so-so, we had some issues that I didn't feel were resolved as they should have been.

AKL is my absolute favorite, and we loved the BWI. The only reason we haven't been back there is we wanted to try to BC and YC.

I wouldn't switch resorts for a four day trip.

I agree with ducklite, on a 4 day trip, I wouldn't switch resorts either.

For me, the choice would be between the Polynesian, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Each offers great service and we have never had a bad stay at any of them.

Good Luck!!

The CR conceirge is wonderful! The loung is open and big and you can see wishes. The food plentiful. good luck in your choice.

Having tried AKL and GF main building, I can't see doing GF again. One of the things I like AKL over GF is that the concierges are located in the lounge and you can get to know them. At GF, they're on the third floor, the lounge is on the fourth. The only time we saw the concierge was when we had requests.
