Well, I know I am going to pre-order the Disney photopass this time around but what I need help deciding is whether I should order the premium package with the photobook for $50 more. I love photobooks and I have several codes to get them free from Snapfish or Shutterfly. Do you think it is worth the $50 to get the "real" Disney one? Help! I leave in 8 days!

I haven't done one in a couple years at disney, but they did not have as many page layouts as shutterfly. I love shutterfly quality and with having so many character pictures, feel I get plenty of disney feel from just using shutterfly. Does it let you peek at the page layouts? if they haven't added more, I would stick with shutterfly.

In Dec/Jan while editing my photos, I checked out the options for the book and was unimpressed.

But that is such a subjective thing...let me explain what I did not like about it. When making photobooks and scrapbooks, I don't want to belabor something. So if I have a picture of my son with Mickey, I do NOT put Mickey-paper or stickers on that page. Mickey's already there. No need to have more of him. I put coordinating paper, or paper that matches the feeling of the day/moment, I put stickers that express how he felt, etc.

With the Disney photobook, it was all too matchy. Everything had Disney everywhere. It would get really really old *for me* to make that book and LOOK at that book. So I didn't like it.

If *you* like that sort of thing, you would probably like their book options. If not, then not. :)

We got the photopass and book deal in 2009. I love the book, it was one of the first photo books I have done and my favorite souvenir.

Since then, I have made several Blurb books and will go with Blurb for my next Disney book.

You can do alot more pages and layouts for $50 than the Disney book. I love Blurb quality and reproduction of my photos.

The only drawback is that Blurb does not have the Disney characters in it's layouts/backgrounds. But since my photos will be of Disney, that should plenty of Disney in my book!

I guess what everyone is saying - is look at the pages that you can use & see if you like them

I'm debating my self (which is bad since I'm already scraping my trip & almost finished with 4 ablums - debating about changing up & making a 5th)

I like that paper & themeing - I think my son would really enjoy it
