I thought it would be nice to make my DH and I t-shirts with our VMK characters and names on it. Does anyone know how to make the character bigger than 1 inch LOL and have it not become distorted. Also is this against Disney trade mark policy. Because they created the programme. Even though I design my own character. Well I guess that is kind of a stretch.

Thanks for you help.

This is my vmk wish list...

1. fire works magic pin

2. yellow princess shoes

3. Herbie outfit and car

4. Blue princess outfit

5. cowboy hat

6. mickey ears

:cheer2: Thanks to anyone who can help me out :cheer2:

I don't know that the characters would be trademarked. I would think just the VMK logo.
I think it would be really hard to get the characters much bigger. What I would do is use paintshopPro to resize your image, then maybe if you don't go too big you can just put them on the left upper side of a tshirt, instead of the whole front or back. If you're really good, you might be able to find a way to project the image bigger, then trace it. Good luck! If it turns out, please post photos.

What a CUTE idea!! Please keep us posted as to how you make out, Little Belle. We are going in 3 weeks and the boys would get a kick out of wearing VMK shirts (otherwise, we may just dress like our characters for the tour).

Hmm, I am wondering if you could do this at the Disney Inkshop? This is the link:
http://www.zazzle.com/collections/disneyinkshop/

They have a tab at the top left of the screen called "Create a Product" and you are allowed to use an image saved to your own computer. You can size it, position it, etc. You can put images/words on the back as well. I know there are copyright restrictions, but maybe because it is a Disney site (combined with Zazzo, but I learned about it from a Disney newsletter) it would be allowed.

I just made some tee shirts with Doc (my fav dwarf) because it is really hard to find anything with him on it. They also offer really hard-to-find images of Disney characters. It is a fun site - I hope it works out for you. I will try to do it also, and see if I can pull it off. Good luck!

So long as you are not selling the shirts, you should be fine to create any shirt you wish with in reason to wear at the parks! Nothing that is obscene of course! lol

Lots of us , especially on the dis, makes our own shirts with disney characters and the like for special trips to WDW or Disneyland.

I think you should be fine! Have fun!

BTW- If you take a screenshot of your character in your own guest room, they will appear bigger than in public rooms of vmk. Other than that, you really can't enlarge without it distorting! Do you know anyone that can draw!

Good Luck! I hope I turns out great!

Another way around the size issue would be to use a digital camera, jack the resolution up to a HUGE size and try and take a pic of your screen. Then the image of the character would be bigger than 1 inch, and could even be enlarged fairly easy. But taking a good pic of a computer monitor screen is not all that easy, the camera catches things the eyes do not. But hey, it's worth a try.

you could use a program to enlarge it as far as you can without it getting "pixelated" then print it out on that clear paper and hang a tee on the wall and project it onto the tee... then trace with magic marker or just paint from there... I'd make sure the transparent was taped onto the projector though

Okay - I just made one on the site that I listed - and it was easy! In about ten minutes, I put the VMK logo on the front and DocHT on the back. It couldn't have been ANY EASIER! Woot! I went to the VMK Home Page and saved the logo by right clicking on it and saving it with my pictures. When I clicked on the "Create a Product" tab, it prompted me for a picture that I wanted to put on the front. I clicked on "browse" and opened the VMK small logo file. It is quite large on the shirt (I left it that way) but you can make it smaller. Then I clicked on the back of the tee shirt, and clicked on "Add text" and typed in "DocHT." There are a zillion (well, maybe only half a zillion) fonts from which to choose and you can control the size, placement and color. To be honest, I think I paid 22 bucks including shipping - I didn't really pay attention (don't tell "house band")! The shirt itself was $16.45 or so. I didn't read if they had any copyright laws, but I followed up with an e-mail to make sure it's okay - it is Disney, after all!

LOL I made one but I am going to see if I can buy part of it

it came out to $24.69 or something like that.....

thanks for all your suggestions. My concern is I live in Canada and I am going to Disney in 23 more days. Shipping takes forever from the States to Canada. Do not know why but I can send a package to the UK faster than to someone in Florida. I will take a look at the site. thanks

Okay, I gave it a try; I did it rather quickly! Let me know what you think?

Click on the pic above and it will take you to the album it is displayed in.
Once there you should see it's original size. It is perfect T-shirt size!
The right pic is edited and the left is the original!

You can used paint or adobe to accompish this. It is still pixelated and a little blurry but workable! If anything you can use the size to draw your character on poster board to take a picture of it to transfer to a t-shirt!

In hindsight it's probably easier if she was wearing black ears, black shoes and a shirt without bling! lol

Thanks Disneyfanlv yes I too tried it on adobe photo shop though a little blurry too. This weekend I am going to try a suggestion moussedud gave but with a slant. I am going to print a small pic of LittleBelle than take my digital camera set it to miniscule and take a pic. Should be able to blow it up in adobe with less distortion. What ya think?
