PLEASE HELP! i'M NEW TO ALL THIS CODE STUFF!

This is my very first post do please forgive my ignorance. We have been to diney a total of 4 times but this is our first trip staying at disney. How do you get a code? We are going Dec. 22-28. I bought a planning book and quickly discovered this was the exact wrong time to go. I'm very worried we are paying to much for an overcrowded park and an overall bad experience. We are staying at CBR but would love to upgrade to a deluxe since it looks as if we may be forced to spend more time at the resort than at the park.

Is this your first trip? Do you have tickets?
Do you have AAA, are you using a travel agent?

Yes the weeks around Christmas get very crowded. There are likely not to be many discounts during this period. Also unless the hotel is overbooked you are not likely to get an upgrade.

There are different types of codes: some are for the Public, some depend on where you live, some are marketing based ( thus you need a Pin) from usually a postcard or email that you get.

Your best bet is to get a touring plan: Tour Guide mike or touringplans.com

Christmastime is definitely a crowded time. You won't believe the scores of people. We went this past Christmas. We were there the 19th through the 25th. You will definitely love the atmosphere at Christmas though, you may never want to do Christmas at home or with the in-laws again! I would like to know more about AAA codes myself as we are going to join for our upcoming trip so we get a percentage off our deluxe. We are going during deluxe value season. Anyway, I am jealous that you will be in sunny Florida and I will be stuck in central IL over the holidays! Have a wonderful trip!
