We will be in WDW in 2 weeks. We plan to buy APs but would like to use our DC discount - since we need 5 APs the DC savings will not be insignificant. On Sat evening we plan to go to MGM for the fantasmic dinner package. Can we purchase APs at guest services there and get the DC discount? If we do not go to MGM Sat evening, can we purchase APs with DC discount at Epcot guest services on Sun morning. It would have to be early Sunday (ie: 7:30 AM) b/c we have the Princess breakfast there at 8 AM. I am not sure if guest services will be open at 7:30 AM when the park opens at 9 AM. Any answers or insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

You need to purchase them at the Ticket windows at any of the parks - they usually open a 1/2hr before the park I believe, and you do get a DC discount. I would try to get to one of the parks the night before the princess brkfst at Epcot because I am not sure if the window will be open at 7:30am?

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will have more specific times.

I believe that you can purchase AP's at any guest services window at any of the parks. You can also purchase them at guest services at Downtown Disney. I have seen others report purchasing their AP's at the airport as well as their local Disney store. You should be able to apply your DC discount wherever you purchase them. If you are driving down I-75, you can stop in Ocala at the Disney Info. Center and purchase your AP's there. DH & I did this a couple years ago. We will be doing the same in Dec. when we go down. I called Ocala a few weeks ago to make sure that they still sold the AP's there. They do, and I will be applying my DC discount, too. Sure will miss that DC discount!

I always purchase mine at the window at the AK because it's usually quiet. It shouldn't be a problem at all. I don't believe you can purchase them with a DC discount at the DS, but may be wrong. You could just give your local DS a call to find out. Either way, you still have to go to the window to turn your vouchers in for the actual ticket, so why make 2 trips out of it and just do it all when you get to the parks.

I have used DC at DS to purchase APs but you get a voucher that you must activate at Guest services. No time saver.
We also have purchased APs at Guest services at Epcot at the "backdoor" the International gateway with DC.

You absolutely can purchase your APs at the MGM ticket booths/guest services before you enter for your Dinner Package. If you present your Disney Club card, you will get the discount.

Enjoy your trip!

Thank you everyone. If we don't purchase our APs at MGM Sat afternoon, I will buy them Sat evening at Downtown Disney activated and ready for Sunday morning. Where is guest services at Downtown Disney?

I am not certain about this, but if you buy your APs at the Disney Store with you DC discount wouldn't it be cheaper than if you buy them at the park entrence? I thought if you bought your tickets in advance it was cheaper than buying them at the park ticket windows. When we bought our 5 day PHP passes the nice lady at the Disney Store said it was cheaper to buy them in advance before going to Orlando. Maybe that doesn't apply to APs.

The nice lady at TDS was correct. :)

AP's with DC discount are the same price no matter whether you buy them at TDS, over the phone (although $3 shipping charge is added), or at WDW itself.

WDW PH, PHP and UPH tickets are cheaper when purchased in advance for two reasons: first the price at the WDW gate is more than what you pay for them in advance and second, you cannot use your DC discount for these tickets when purchasing at WDW.

On AP's however, you can still use your DC discount when purchasing at the gate. The price will be the same as if you bought it in advance because there is no advance purchase discount in the price of AP's.

Someone mentioned they got their passes at Downtown Disney guest services - that's what we did on the first evening we got there. We were able to use our DC discount and got actual passes, not vouchers.

You can also purchase them at the Airport Disney Store in Orlando. We were going to do this for our December trip, but their ticket computer was down. It would have saved us time at DTD, for sure.
