We are Canadians and due to the winter weather, we decided to arrive Orlando a day prior to our check-in at Grand Floridian. There are 6 of us (including 1 kid, 1 infant), so we either need a 2-bedroom suite, or two rooms. My ideal requirements are as follows:
1). close to GF (try to get their as early as possible the next morning to check-in).
2). safe self-parking (will leave luggage in rental car for the night)...hopefully not too far from the hotel lobby (we will have LOTS of walk walk walk starting the next day)
3). Hassle-free - I don't want people to bug me for time-share etc stuff
4). clean (and hopefully quiet) my mother-in-law really need a good sleep for after the long journey
Since this is one-night only, I am quite flexible with pricing - under $200/room is fine. We just need the basics - this is for a afternoon nap (kids), then we head out to Walmart & dinner, and hopefully back to hotel early to bed & early to rise the next morning.
* A colleague suggested Fairfield Inn in Marriott Village, but another friend complained about the terrible traffic jam at vineland ave.
* I wanted to try Caribe Royale, but DH wanted less hassle. He dislikes staff who bother him with timeshare, tours, etc. He wanted to park the car and get right up to our rooms - after a long drive.
* Close to DTD (or even DTD hotels) would be great too. DH likes Joe's Crab Shack
THANKS
