I have ADR for CRT breakfast. We'll (DD and myself) have the free dining. I wanted to pay for one and use credit for the other.

is this possible? When do i pay? When i made the reservations they had no idea.

you can pay for one and use credits for the other.

i'm surprised you weren't asked for your CC at the time you made the ADR. generally you need to pay for CRT in advance and then an adjustment will be made for the DDP credits after you dine.

I was asked for my Credit card but she said since i'm on the dining plan it is just to hold it.

is your dd a child or adult (in disney-speak)? it's possible that the cm will insist that you either pay for both or use ddp for both... and not let you use your dd's meal credit towards your two credit meal while going oop for her...

Then speak to the manager, because the CM is unaware of the rules of the dining plan. For example, many people have more than one TS planned a day. What if you were going to save the credit not used for the child at CRT for another meal for the child later in the vacation? Disney cannot force anyone to use a TS credit if they don't want to.

Funny thing is, I was planning to pay for my meal! I wasn't trying to take advantage of the system. For DD it makes sense 2 TS credits but not for me.
