This board is amazing. I'm taking three kids, 9, 9 and 6 in March for our first trip. I can't decide whether to stay at Contemporary or Poly. It will be the 5 if us (Dh and myself) make 5. I'd we stay in s standard room at CR and request two queens will that be honored? I've read about both resorts and would love any input and why. thanks in advance for replying.

Just a quick hello and Welcome

They are both great resorts but IMHO, have a very different "feel".....Id go Poly...just for the atmosphere and more disney feel...but thats just me.
Wherever you go, hope it is a MAGICAL stay ...:wizard:

A standard room at CR and Poly includes 2 queens and a daybed. So, you should have no problem. :thumbsup2

most of what CR and Polyn have is 2 queen bed plus a day bed (really a twin bed)

you might consider BLT - 1-bedroom renting a reservation from a DVC member - a 1-bedroom will give you a king bed in the master, a queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom and a chair bed also in the living room.

plus a full kitchen - 2 bathrooms - one in the master and one in the living area. a washer/dryer.

now if you go thru Disney - forget this option - it will cost you alot more money. that say renting a reservation thru a DVC member will be about the same or little more than renting CR or Polyn room thru Disney.

with the CR/BLT you can easily walk to the MK. Polyn you can ride the monorail, the boat (at the Polyn) - or walk over to TTC and take the ferry.

now only consider these options if you can easily afford these - otherwise the moderates - PO or CSR would be choices there - or even the values - love Pop (now you would need 2 rooms at Pop)

or even the suites at AoA or ASMu - you have a queen bed and the kids get to sleep on a love seat bed, chair bed or ottman bed.

We've stayed at both CR and Poly and do love both but for different reasons. At CR, we feel the Magic Kingdom excitement due to the monorail passing through the resort, Chef Mickeys, the walking path to MK, and the awesome views of the Castle. At Poly, we feel more laid-back due to the tropical theme at that resort. The beach offers nice views of Wishes. It's also very handy having the TTC right there to have direct monorail access to Epcot. I don't think you'd be disappointed at either one. I say choose based on which theme you want for this trip. Then do the other resort next trip....
