I am a very long time lurker... I feel guilty about this being my first post (I wish it was a little better news), but I need help...

My husband and I have the Premier Annual Pass, we have two reservations - one at AKL for 4/27 to 5/3 and another for BLT for 5/3 to 5/9. I was able to make our Fastpass+ reservations for the 27th to 3rd without much problem, but when I went to make them for the 4th to the 9th it said I had exceeded my limit.

My first call was to DVC and they said that I would have to book day-by-day starting 3/4 (which is the same day I called), but then when I spoke to a supervisor she said she needed to do "research" and would get back to me.

I got an email today from WDW stating that as a "valued" AP holder I was "allowed" to book seven days of Fastpass+ only and I could not book anymore until I had used one of my days...

I called DVC back and they are "looking into it" again and said they have never heard anything like this. Anyone else have a similar experience???? I would really appreciate any advice.

PS- this is our 13th WDW trip and we were REALLY trying to be positive about Fastpass+, but that is getting harder and harder.

It's my understanding that the limit for AP holders is 7 days, just as they said. I've read it numerous times here on the DIS. It's a rolling 7 days. Once you use 1 day's worth, you can make another day.

The limits are not tied to the length of your resort reservation, only to your ticket media. And at this time, Disney has chosen 7 days as the max for AP holders.

With an on-site reservation, you should be able to book FP+ for all days of your reservation with an AP. Are you 60 days out from the second reservation?

I believe and have seen from my experience, after your on-site stay, you then have a 7 day limit for booking FP + without an on-site stay. Call the MDE help #. They have probably dealt with this more than member services.

That would be good if true, but I hadn't seen anyone say that. Maybe I was only reading posts from people that didn't have current stays.

We had 8 days of FP+ booked in Jan with our PAP's and on site stay. I do know several people have reported that the MDE help desk was able to manually input FP+ when they got the "FP+ limit reached" message. As I said, worth a try to call MDE #. You might get the magic CM who can fix it or manually input your extra days. MDE and AP's is so glitchy.

I've had the seven day limit apply twice already with my PAP and DVC room. The prior poster who said you can book a new day as you use a day is correct.

Now that legacy fp is gone, people are reporting much more open ability to book fp+ closer to travel dates- including for peak demand rides-always the day before and usually still day of visit as well.

You could go through the trouble of calling MDE tech support and spending hours trying to get more than seven days of fp+ set up before your trip. If it were me I wouldn't bother.

Just book your eighth day of fp during downtime on your second day. This is the easiest way to go. Having done it twice, and before legacy fp went away, I would assure you it is easy and pain free to do it this way.

The work you need to do for a vacation should be the effort you put in at your employment to earn the money to pay for the trip. Not hours on the phone trying to guess which times you want to do which rides, eight days into your vacation. My opinion, for what it's worth...

Thank you everyone for your responses. I truly appreciate it.

I will wait and see what DVC finds out, because MDE/WDW sent me the email stating that I could only book 7 days of Fastpass+

I think that the most frustrating part of all of this has been that I have gotten so many different answers from "Disney." It would appear that no one is certain about any aspect of the new system, other than it is confusing.

I am just surprised by all of this because Disney has typically been very consistent in making sure all cast members were trained properly and all systems worked before rolling it out to their guests; just a different experience.

I totally agree crzy.

Seems like you don't get proper staff training included if you "only" spend $1.5 billion dollars to make your room keys into wrist bands...

You should call the MDE help line with your AP info. We just did this on Saturday for our premier APs when we couldn't order magic bands for them in the MDE system. We called (407) 939-4357 and they got our APs properly linked to our MDE account. Unfortunately it took 1 hour and 12 minutes, but the CM was super nice about it. She said it is that way with every Premier pass she's had to deal with, and she ends up having to wait on their help desk to get things sorted out. Have patience, but it will be worth the call.

If you have a reservation on site and you have pass media good for the duration of your stay, then you should be able to book for all days of your stay, not just the 7 day AP limitation.

While it is reported to be fairly easy to book times a day ahead right now, we still don't know what the next step in Disney's plan with these is, and it may become harder to find open times as they adjust the system. It's best to get it fixed now and not have to find out how easy/hard it is to book later.

---- all that said ----

I have PAPs for my family. I had all three attached to our upcoming reservation under MDE, but when they officially announced that they had opened up the system to APs, our passes were disconnected from the DVC stay and a new category for Annual Passes was opened up in DME, causing the same issue you have. It's a little bothersome to have the system remind me every time I look at our reservation that I don't have any tickets for our stay when clearly we do.

I'll make a call to ME, but my guess is right now they're fishing around for answers too.

Edit to add - 12 hours after posting the above, I just went through MDE, and again they've updated the interface for reservations and tickets. Annual Passes are no longer assigned as a separate category from the reservation. I'm too far out from our reservation to try making FP+ selections, so I can't guess what's changed, if anything, there.
