Hi Please help me choose between the two suites, Its myself ,husband (military) son 7 we are doing a sept 8th thru 12 trip DS bday decided to do offsite due to limited time and money. Both have free breakfast which is a plus, im looking for most friendly, clean, and good pool area and maybe military discount, we are using military tickets and are driving,. We also want complimentary transportation, closest grocery store and restaurants, please help!!! Buena Vista suites vs embassy suites. Oh which one is closer to the parks. Thanks!!

Embassy Suites, there are a few of them so it would depend on which one. We stayed at the one on International but we had a car so I can't address transportation. It was walking distance to a variety of shops, not sure if a full grocery was in walking distance. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order omelets included. We also enjoyed the managers reception in evening for drinks and snacks. It had a very nice outdoor pool and an indoor pool as well. Our suite was very nice and the bedroom with two beds was oversized. The "kitchenette" area was made with an island type area with a table and chairs. Again alittle larger than normal size room.

Buena Vista Suites, again we had a car. There was no grocery close by and not sure the drugstore across the street had food items. The breakfast was fine but not as varied as I had expected. The line was very long and slow to get the custom cooked eggs or bacon. The pool area looked fine but we didn't swim. The rooms have been recently renovated so the decor was very nice but size wise they are much smaller than Embassy. The micro and fridge were built into the Tv cabinet and there was a desk but no table & chairs.

Both hotels are very nice in terms of staff, cleanliness etc. If you look at the Embassy Lake Buena Vista you will be very close to Downtown Disney, lots of restaurants and grocery stores. We have stayed in that area a few times and its only minutes to the parks. I would return to either.

Buena Vista Suites.... The rooms have been recently renovated so the decor was very nice but size wise they are much smaller than Embassy.

Depending on the particular Embassy Suites location, a 1-bedroom is 415-550 square feet. Buena Vista Suites 1-bedrooms are 466-500 square feet. So I would not say they are "much smaller." In fact, in some cases they are bigger!

If the price were the same, I'd prefer the LBV Embassy to the Buena Vista, but the Buena Vista suites to the other ESes (they are farther away). I'm guessing, though, that the LBV Embassy will be more expensive---and possibly by a good chunk.

LBV ES is a very nice place, clean, nice pool, free happy hour, a grocery store nearby and close to DTD. We plan to stay there in the next couple of months again. Reasonable prices too

I've stayed in Embassy Suites LBV and Buena Vista Suites and I have to agree with the PP that the rooms at Embassy seem much larger. There's room in the sitting area at Embassy for a table and four chairs. Only a desk with one chair at Buena Vista Suites. Maybe the bedroom is bigger at BVS to make up the difference, but the living area at Embassy is definitely more spacious.
