Awhile ago, I posted this question on the dining board but didn't get an answer. Has anyone recently done the dine with an imagineer lunch or dinner? I was wondering if the souvenir plate was included in the cost of the experience, or if it is extra. In a recent newsletter (from another group) I got the impression that it was $75. to purchase one in addition to the cost of the meal. Another site indicated one plate/party was included in the price, but you could buy additional ones. Please help me out if you have done this or know about it.

dunno about buying extras, mine was included in cost of the experience. don't think i woulda actually have paid for one personally.

My DW and I went to Dine with an Imagineer last September at The Brown Derby in DHS. We each received a plate for our fee. They do not cost "extra".

I too thought I read the one at "Flying Fish" I think was a option to "buy" a plate...

I did it in October and we were given the plate for free... i mean the thing costs $60, better get something with it, LOL

Closer to $70 but...you do get something with it. Personalized menus, an engraved name tag (that would cost about $6 to buy), a fabulous meal worth around $50+ if you ordered it separately (Soup, Cobb Salad, entree, Grapefruit Cake, beverage), and conversation for about 2 hours with an Imagineer where you can ask him WHATEVER YOU WANT (although they might not be able to answer if it is "secret" info, but never hurts to ask!) and spending time with other Disney fans who appreciate the parks like you do...and the plate on top of it! I think it is worth every penny and can't wait for the next one we're doing in November! :thumbsup2

I did a review of Dine with an Imagineer that was played on a November DIS Unplugged podcast episode. The plate IS included and will be signed by your imagineer. It's a great experience!

I wish we would have had that "option" last September. The plate's really nice, don't get me wrong, but we are just not plate people. The food and conversation were well worth the cost of the event on their own! :thumbsup2
