Hello all,

My husband and I are new to cruising and have we first Disney cruise Oct 26-30 :cool1: . Our plane lands on 10-25, and our original plan was to use the Go Port Canaveral Fly, Snooze and Cruise to have them pick us up from the airport, take us to the hotel, then to the cruise, etc. Well I just found out that the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party will have a Hocus Pocus show, so I have to go to see it (I'm a huge fan).

Well now I don't know how to do all the transportation, I have bought MNSSH tickets for 10-25, and the cruise leaves on 10-26. Can someone provide some advice on what our best plan of action should be, such as should we get a taxi, or a rental car if we still want to do the fly, snooze, and cruise?

OR is there any better options?

Thanks all for the help!

Since the port is at least an hour from WDW, I'd say your best option would be get a hotel on-site at WDW if you're going to be staying late at the park for the party. You can then use Magical Express to get to the hotel. The next morning, you have a lot of options for how to get to the port - private transfer, Disney transfers from the resort, ME back to the airport and Disney transfers from there, ME back to the airport and rental car to the port... it all depends on what your budget is and how easy you want to make it.

I agree that staying at a WDW resort will be easiest if you want to get the most out of your park time and get a good nights sleep! Then you have the various transportation options Owensamo mentions. Personally I would opt for renting a car to get to port or taking an early ME back to the airport to get the DCL bus - you'll get to the port earlier than if you get the DCL bus directly from the resort. But if that isn't a concern to you, absolute easiest is probably DCL bus from the resort to the port. Cheapest option may be rental car.

Is there a price difference between going to the port on DCL bus from the airport versus from the resort?

No price difference but the buses leave earlier from the airport vs the resorts. The buses leave from the airport starting at 9:00ish. When you leave from a Disney resort you will be assigned a time the day before. From reports on these boards anywhere from 11am-1pm

No price difference. There is a time difference though. Transfers from the airport start as soon as the first bus is filled after their 9:00 opening. So you can get to the port early. The transfers from the WDW resorts start later. I believe buses start picking up around 11:00. So if getting on the ship as early as possible is important to you, then a rental car, private car service, or ME to the airport and DCL transfer from MCO are your best bets.
