Hi all you experienced people. I booked my Free Dining package today online for Pop Aug 26-31 for 4 adults and one teen, and now I need to know how to go about getting the ADR's. Could you recommend one place in each of the parks for me? We will not be park hopping and plan to just eat in the park that we are visiting for the day. Thank you so much. We have only been to DisneyWorld once and that was 8 yrs. ago and we did not eat at any sit down places. This will be an adventure!

Hi! You're going to get a tons of different answers on this, and it really is all according to preference, but I'll tell you our faves.

MK: Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner. This is Thanksgiving style food and it's soooo good!

Epcot: Le Cellier. Fantastic! Even my five year old was licking her fingers and asking to go back again the next day. :)

AK: No TS places here, but BOMA at the nearby Animal Kingdom Lodge is worth the trip. It's a beautiful resort, especially at night, and you can check out the animals on the savannah while you wait. There are plenty of adventurous new foods to try as well as more traditional favorites to fill up on, so everyone will leave happy. The desserts in particular are wonderful!

MGM: We've never had a TS meal here, and the CS meals left us feeling  .

All of our other favorites are in the Magic Kingdom area resort hotels. Whispering Canyon, Kona Cafe and Concourse Steakhouse are great and we visit them on every trip! A lot of people also love Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, and Ohana at the Polynesian. If you're in the MK for the day, you can hop the monorail or the boat to check out these, and other, restaurants.

I'm interested to hear what others recommend! We like to try new places each time we go and I still have a few days left to plan. :)

Chef Mickeys-Contemp. Resort beside Magic Kingdom --Excellent buffet breakfast w/ fun characters! Waffles in shape of Mickey!

MGM: Sci-Fi Theatre was really cool & delicious food! Table was inside of a convertible --setting was starlight drive-in playing black & white movies. Great milkshakes!
Prime Time Cafe was fun too.

Heard Garden Grill was good @ Epcot...didn't get to eat there!

Animal Kingdom-Boma was ...different. I liked it but my husband did not....African Cuisine...very good Kid's bar! My husband ate the chicken tenders and macaroni & cheese! lol

We've eaten a few times at the 50's Prime Time in MGM and it is a must try. The experience really depends on your server but it is a great place for all ages. Also if you are able, try Planet Hollywood for dinner in DD(maybe go ther for dinner the day you go to AK). We were skeptical when we decided to try it last year, but it was the most pleasant dining experience we had. They have a great variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

We also like LTT at Magic Kingdom.

Make sure you check out the menus at all ears.

We had the DDP for both of our trips to WDW and I will sum up my experience in a nutshell (table service only):

2005 (5nights on dining plan)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner) - good

Chef Mickey's (breakfast) - good, lots of fun for the kids, may be distracting

Ohana (dinner) - good

Shutters (dinner) - we did not care for it at all, service was extremely efficient but not with a smile.

Donald's (breakfast) - very good

2006 (5nights on dining plan)
1900 Park Fare (dinner) - fair

Teppenyaki (dinner) - fair

Maya Grill (dinner) - good

Crystal Palace (breakfast) - good {out of pocket}

Concourse Steakhouse (dinner) - fair

Boma (dinner) - absolutely great (the best buffet, IMO)

I hope you all have fun and enjoy your trip, please feel free to ask me any questions. :goodvibes
