PLease help a newbie w. some grocery questions!

We are coming home for the first time in three weeks. as of now the first half of the week we are staying in a BCV studio and the last hlaf a one bedroom. here are my questions:

1. ehere do you buy your groceries at and why? I don't remember the name of the place, but there is a grocery store in the sopping center where they have a TGI Friday's and a minature golf course, and my wife hated that place, so she wants to go somewhere else - any suggestions and can you tell me why as well? (she thinks she remembers a winn-dixie, has anyone been there? any thoughts?)

2. how do you handle the room switch in terms of food, particularly the food in the fridge?

1. Your wife went to Goodings. I agree with her. If you turn left when you come out of DTD instead of going directly into the Crossroads there is a Winn Dixie probably half a mile up on the right. Turn right, go under the interstate, take the next left on Vine (?) and follow it past the outlet mall, on the right just past the outlet mall is a Publix. I go to Winn Dixie but most folks on here like Publix better.

2. Bell Service can put your stuff in a fridge while they store it.

We prefer Publix which is a couple of miles from SSR. You can get maps and locations at their website.

We go to Publix for groceries. From the BCV it is as close as Goodings and FAR cheaper. Here are directions...

From the exit of BCV, take a right.
Follow road through the light at the BWV and then to the next light (entrance to Hollywood Studios is in front of you).
Take a left onto East Buena Vista Drive.
Follow to the first light and take a right onto Victory Way.
At the end of Victory Way (less than a mile...Wide World of Sports is right in front of you) take a left.
Follow this road and take a right just after the Gaylord Palms Hotel (less than a mile).
Publix will be about a block ahead on your left.

We are using We Go Shop for our visit this time and saving on a rental. Our children used them for their visit last November and it was a fantastic service. I just don't like giving up my precious vacation time to go to the grocery store. I have made up our menu, done a list and that will be it.

We just got back 2 weeks ago from a 10 day BCV stay and we used WEGOSHOP. I was extremely pleased with the service. We made our own grocery list, chose the store we wanted our groceries from and the food was delivered just as scheduled. We checked in at about 11:30 but our room was not ready yet (no real surprise) but Marge had scheduled our food delivery for 1:30. Although we still did not have our room at that time it was no problem. All I had to do was sign for my delivery when it arrived (and I only had to be there to sign because we had alcohol included) and the delivery woman took care of the rest. She stored it all in Bell Services at the BCV and then the bellman brought it all up with our luggage. She pointed out the few substitutions she had to make (all of which were fine- actually she was a fantastic bargain shopper and got us some 2 for 1 items that we didn't expect.) I ordered two bottles of white wine that are sometimes not easily found but she was able to buy both. We were very impressed with the accuracy and the convenience of the service. We felt the fee was minimal for the time it saved us. (We ordered close to $200 worth of groceries and the fee was $22--I would be willing to pay that at home if someone would shop for and deliver my groceries!) Personally, we prefer to take an hour and shop on our own. I'd rather make the grocery run than deal with delivery times/fees and the possibility that an item may be wrong/missing. Many swear by wegoshop and other services though, so it's really up to you.
