We haven't been to either one and I just can't decide! Kids are DS12 and DD9. The DS is the one I am worried about at 1900. He enjoys CMs, but I'm not sure about the princesses! Hubby and I will also be celebrating our 15th anniversay (would love to get the glass slipper dessert, but not a must) AND it will be our first night in the world. Sure would like this night to be fun and special and since I haven't been to either place I thought I'd turn it over to the capable hands of the Disers.

Thanks!

I've heard VERY good things about 1900, in particular the character interaction. The characters include Cindy's stepsisters, and they're really supposed to be very funny in an irreverent way, something that your DS is likely to enjoy. The food is supposed to be better than 'Ohana's, which I hear has gone downhill or at least is very inconsistent.

Here's a review of 1900:

In all our trips 'Ohana is sort of a first night tradition for us. However, we also love 1900 PF and have not dined there since the stepsisters arrived. For our upcoming trip we have 'Ohana booked for first night and 1900 for second night. In order to score for 5 people we had to split up at both restaurants into a table for three and a table for 2 but my girls are 11& 13 and we're taking DD13's BFF with us. Do you have them booked already? If not you may be facing slim pickings this soon. We're at around 90 days and I had trouble booking a lot of mine without splitting up. Good luck. Either way you should be okay, I think the ladies are a real hoot!

I haven't eaten at Ohana's yet, but just based on how disappointed we were in 1900 I voted for Ohana. And then you don't have to worry about DS and the princesses.

Haven't eaten at Ohana for dinner yet BUT we went to dinner at 1900PF. It was noisy and crowded:crowded: and it seemed like most kids there were a little younger than yours. The food was so-so IMHO, and we won't be going back again:mic: . I hear that there are coconut races at Ohana, which DS may like. Good luck:goodvibes

Where are you staying and what time are you arriving?

Been to WDW twice and both times Ohanas was our first meal. 3rd trip is a month away and again Ohanas is set for our first meal. While it doesnt have Disney charachters we love the feel of the Poly (if only we could justify paying to stay there) Its a great meal! :thumbsup2

Be sure to get a pineapple drink from the lounge next door they are WONDERFUL!

1900 Park Faire - take a taxi if you have to ge there and then go to MK to get a bus back

Ahh - noticed you have a car. OK if you drive - but we do not know the roads of WDW - so we use WDW transportation.

You can order a mini castle cake for your anniversary - call Disney Dining 3 days in advance (they will connect you with GF dining) to rder. ON your ADR mention your annioversary and all other celebrations. The give out crowns and tira's, mickey confetti on the table. The food is wonderful. You kids will love the charcaters on theor first night at WDW.

We have eaten at 'Ohanas our last 2 trips and will be going back there again in a couple of weeks. We love the food, especially the Banana Bread pudding. We also love the feel of the Poly and last year decided to stay there. We use the monorail as an reason to justify paying exta to stay there since both our kids get blisters from too much walking. Now I can't see us staying anywhere else. Try Kona Cafe as well if you get a chance.
