Any suggestions would be appreciated. We're going next friday to WDW. The last 2 days we will be there, my brother and his wife and daughter (18 mos) are coming up from Miami to visit us. The first day they are there will be our "day off", we will have been park hopping 3.5 - 4 days by then and we will need the break, plus we have planned a little site seeing at FW (meal at Trail's End)and such. The next day, they want to take the little one to the Magic Kingdom, which we want to go back to anyway. but that day the MK closes at 5 or 6 for MNSSHP (which the rest of us are going to on the night before they arrive, another reason we will need a break their first day with us. I don't think they want to take the little one out until midnight anyway.). I have AP's this year, but also have a park hopper pass with 1 day left from a previous trip that I am giving to one of them to use that day, but they still need 1 more ticket. Their budget this trip is extremely tight. (Mostly they are just coming up this time for me to see my niece. they weren't planning a vacation this time.) We want to head back over to EPCOT or Disney Studios after MK closes to see another fireworks show. Is there a 1 day park hopper available? I know I have seen stands set up different places selling tickets, like in the parking lot at Perkins. Has anyone ever bought something like that from one of those?
I have heard of an EPCOT after 4 ticket. Do they sell those for 1 night?
I have been planning this trip for a little over a year now. My Mom, step dad, parents-in-law, & brother-in-law are all driving down from IL. My dad is meeting us there, too (he lives in FL). My Inlaws have never been to WDW and are really excited. Mom and Step dad haven't been to WDW in 15 yrs, my dad hasn't been since 1975! (except for 1 day at EPCOT when he met us in 2001). I can't wait to go, but I'm out of ideas here. We need to keep the first 4 days schedule the same mostly. I've researched to see which is the best day to go to which park on this holiday weekend, plus we want to make sure we've hit every park before they arrive (there is a reason, but I'd don't think you all want to read it
)
Here's our schedule, if it helps:
Sat: Illuminations Cruise
Sun: DMGMS ( small, less crowded for first day. also, TT closes for rehab the next day. they don't want to miss out on riding it)
Mon: EPCOT, it's a holiday and there is a lot more room at EPCOT. MK will be a mad house. But we will probably go over to MK in the evening to see SpectroMagic and Wishes.
Tues: PS at MK for breakfast early. AK in afternoon. Back to Mk for MNSSHP that night. Brother arrives very late that night.
Wed: rest, FW, maybe a little resort hopping or DD shopping. Meal at FW.
Thurs: MK until close, then EPCOT or DMGMS that night for fireworks. Our last full day there, only DH & I have AP's, the rest have 4 day hoppers.
Fri: check out of OKW and head to St. Augustine for a day on the way home.
