Lisa was a reg. poster on here. One who is an inspiration to many of us old timers. I think of her often, especially these past few months when I haven't felt as comfortable here as I once did. We had fun swapping together. I still have some of her pieces that I haven't used or have used and just remember who made them. (one of the joys of swapping it does at least for me make me smile from time to time! All the encouragement I got that I could make something Someone would want).
I think that we all need to step back, thank our lucky stars, God or what ever you believe in that we can come to a board and post and make some great friends.
The DIS has always been supportive and is one reason why I haven't truly left.
I know when a dear friend of my mine was dying and I needed help to create a scrap book for her so many people stepped up to help me, support me and give me ideas and even sent me completed pages the only thing that had to be done was put the pictures on the page. That still amazes me even now.
I don't post as much as I once did. But I felt I needed to step back.
Then I came across Dan's post on the CB and it made me think of so many people I have come in contact with and most were from this board. Luckily the friends I made I have kept in contact with outside this board.
Things change, people change and ideas change. But I should hope the care and concern wouldn't.
After reading this board today I just felt I needed to link people to Dan's post. Those are things in life that really matter. It doesn't matter about the fireworks, or even why things happen. what matters are the friends you have, the people who you love and care for.
