When I Called CRO this morning to inquire about the possible AP rate release, I asked point blank the following question.

"if my child has an AP, can i use that AP to get the room rate"

The reply was as follows..'

"yes, only 1 person in your party has to have the annual pass, it does not matter if it is a child or an adult"...

so I asked this...

"so if my 6 year old has a childs AP, I am eligible for the AP rate, if and when they may come out"

the reply was this..

"yes ma'am, it does not matter who in your party has the pass, be it an adult or child..."

Now I have read here that it must be the adult whose name the room is under. However I have read in the Unofficial guide that a childs pass is okay for this.

If you believe it has to be an adult, can you please point me to someplace on disneys website that might say this?

I dont want to do something wrong.

Thanks
Brandy

You can use a child's AP for the room discount. I may be flamed for this but I feel this is a loophole that needs to be closed.

Also think that you should have AP before you could get discount. But I don't run WDW so you are good to go if you have a childs AP.
