Hi
We last went April 2008 and have just booked for August 2010.
Last time I booked ADRS it was fairly straightforward, 180 days etc.
I just wondered whats happening now? I guess its changed to 90 days before but whats the thing with the reservation numbers and I don't understand how people aren't getting what they ask for if they call 90 days before?
Is this a changeover, so that everyone can book it themselves online? Or is this how it will be from now on?
Hope someone can enlighten me.:confused3

Thanks

A few things have changed - one is the free dining plan and the other is the soon to be introduced 'on-line' ADR booking system.

To book ADRs for free dining you need your Disney booking reference.

The free dining plan has coursed demand for ADRs for the most popular restaurants and meal times to increase quite a bit. You should still get what you want if you are prepared to be flexible with times and date.

I think also that far more people are organising trips at 90 days out than 180 days so you have got more people phoning on the day their 'window' opens than you had under the old system.

I phoned a week before the free-diners could call and was answered immediately. My reservation were sorted out very quickly. (I did phone 1 day early and was told I needed to phone back but I got through immediately that time too.)
I think the free dining is having the major effect.
