Please explain Magical Express

We are not going for about 2 more years but being an obsessive planner...anyway, if I don't fly on one of the designated airlines, and I stay at a Disney Resort, can I still take advantage of the free transportation to my resort?

ME is currently only scheduled to run during the Happiest Celebration on Earth promotion, so until sometime in December 2006. If you're going after that, then chances are the program will no longer be available.

If you're going before then, you can still use ME as long as you're staying at a Disney resort. If you don't fly one of the participating airlines it just means that you handle your own luggage (haul it to/from the bus) and you can't check in for your return flight (ie get bording passes) at the resort.

I believe that Magical Express is slated to be no cost/free during the 50th Celebration, I have heard no one mention that it will stop running after that.

Of course, I think it will all depend on if and when they iron out all of the problems!

That sounds more like it to me. It sounds like they are testing it now to see if it will bring in additional money via visitors staying on site. I don't mind them not handling my luggage. I just wanted the free ride to my resort.

It could still be running. One of the ME drivers posted an FAQ type of thing on the transportation board and he said Disney just ordered like 27 more busses or something. He said, it might not be free after the celebration, but it will most likely stay a optional service.
