Please Excuse Our Dust; We're Planning A Trip Here!

Hello!! For those of you that don't know me I'm Michele. I am a wife, mom, basically chief cook and taxi. I am the matriarch of this trip.



Kacy, my 21 year old daughter is our planner. She is the one that is planning and paying for the trip. We will call this Mom's Christmas, Birthday, Mothers Day etc trip. She is a huge lover of all things Disney. It's in the blood. Especially the Haunted Mansion.



Kody, my 20 year old daughter. Kody is our Peter Pan fan. She loves all things Peter Pan. Her favorite ride is Peter Pan. Like her mom she loves all things Disney especially the characters. She will definitely be my partner on that. Last trip Kody took selfies with several of the characters and frankly they were some of my favorite pictures from the trip.



Also going with us is Kacy's friend Kayce. I hope to get a picture of her to add to the trip report. Kayce lives in New Orleans and has never been to Disneyland! This should be a lot of fun! I know the girls look forward to showing her Disneyland. I am of course curious to get her opinion of my favorite land, New Orleans Square.

We are leaving my husband and better half Scotty, our 18 year old son and my 77 year old mom. Our last trip ended up us getting home and mom ending up in the hospital not 24 hours later and not getting out for a few months.

That takes care of the who. The reason why this trip is planned like it is so that I can join the Disboard Diva's on their annual trip. That leads us to when. We are going February 25th through March 1st. I can hardly wait!!

The where part is rather exciting! We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel! It is a personal favorite of ours! We haven't stayed there as a family since 2007. Not, the best trip ever because I was extremely ill. I am happy to say that won't be an issue this trip.

So, there it is the what, who, the why and the where! As the planning goes on I will definitely be posting here. I am hoping to at least have Kacy, and Kody join me in posting. Chances are I will most likely be the only planner poster.

I've got an update. Nicknames have been handed out.

In order of me first, me first. I am first.
Michele=Ursula (Because Kody says so! The picture should explain it all! Plus she is convinced that she is my favorite character.)

Kacy=Megara (Kacy loves the movie Hercules and the character.)

Kody=Princess Dot (She's loved Dot since forever!)

Kayce=Charlotte La Bouff, Princess Tiana's best friend.(Because she lives in New Orleans duh!)

I decided that since I have some time on my hands I would post some fun pictures from our last trip.


Kody and Merida having fun! This was a really fun interaction. She was so funny and asked Kody if she wanted to do anything special in the picture. Kody suggested the tongue sticking out.

I just called Disney to change our reservations to include Charlotte or Lottie(Kayce) as I shall now call her. I may or may not have mentioned to the CM that it is Lottie's first visit to Disneyland and he may or may not have made a notation on our reservation about it.

He was rather funny, he mentioned that when the reservations were originally made that no notation had been made on the type of room we wanted. So he made a notation asking for us to PLEASE have two queen beds because he didn't want us drawing straws or wrestling for who would get the king size bed.

My only regret was that I was not on hold at all! Why is this a regret you ask? Because I didn't get to enjoy all of the fun Disney music you usually hear on hold. Darn! I guess I will just have to listen to one of my Disney CDs.

Now I want to look into fun stuff like maybe having something like a treat waiting in the room for all of us. I know that I could have a basket delivered but they are so expensive. I don't know. Research time!

Ch ch ch changes they are a coming! Oh so many!


First big one....We are no longer staying at the Disneyland Hotel! Shocking I know, but this mama isn't sad! Oh no far from it! We are going to stay at my all time favorite place to stay in Anaheim! The Ayres Hotel! I love this place. DH and I spent our second honeymoon there and our last family trip in January was there. I talked Megara (Kacy) into maybe staying offsite to save some money. She's paying and I know she wants another sword for her room!

A sad change is that Lottie (Kayce) isn't going to be able to join us. Maybe next time. So it is just going to be Ursula (myself), Megara, and Princess Dot (Kody). Since we are joining the Diva's consider this a big group!

I don't plan on being gone so long next time.
