Please educate a DCL newbie... 3 nights cruise next year

Me and a friend are thinking of going on a 3 night cruise next February. We are planning to become TAs and need a cruise experience plus our family members have motion sickness and likely would not enjoy a cruise so we want to go and test one out. What are things we need to consider?

No, I am just at the beginning stages of looking into it maybe for next year. I am going to Disneyland this summer to get experience there as well. Where can I get more information on that?

DW gets motion sick quite easily so she uses the prescription Scopolomine patch. We have been on 10 cruises now with some of them in pretty rough seas and it is a trip saver. Our most recent was a 7 night Eastern on RCL Oasis and that huge ship rocked heavy for all but the last day.
