Saturday through Monday is supposed to be very cold by Florida standards, the coldest day being Sunday with a high of 46 (that's for us on the East Coast, temps will be much colder inland). There also may be a small chance of snow just north of Orlando. Dress in layers, wear hats and gloves if needed and don't forget to hydrate.

Sorry, I'm coming from Michigan this weekend... it's probably my fault and I brought this horrible weather along with me!
On the bright side o_O for me, I think 40 degrees will be shorts weather. It's been -5 to -20 here, real feel, and I've been out shoveling in that junk. So, 40 degrees is really like a 50 degree warm up for me.
I'm kidding... I know it is going to really stink. I actually blame Canada 🤣

Holy Moly!!
I know someone who is leaving for WDW this Friday. I will share this with them so they are aware of the cold temps.
Thanks!

Last night I had shorts and a hoodie and it wasn’t bad until it got windy. HS closed at 11 for deluxe and the walk back to YC was quite cold (didn’t want to wait for the boat), but without the wind it wasn’t bad. But man some big, heavy gusts were rough!

This morning feels like was in the upper 20s. With a hoodie and sweatpants it wasn’t horrible, but was still chilly. Luckily the wind wasn’t as bad as last night.

I feel the same. It’s been so cold here in CT that 46 will feel like a heat wave!

This gives me a little hope??? Sunday will feel like it's in the 30s but full sunshine (well, that's what's predicted). I'm hoping fleece leggings, t shirt, Disney hoodie, and maybe my light packable down jacket will do the trick. Crossing fingers. I don't mind pants and a hoodie. I don't mind my tiny little $1 knit gloves. I even have a super thin and cute scarf that is 1/2 fashion, 1/2 for warmth. But beyond that... :(

I came for Marathon weekend in early January last year and temps were 50's and 60's. Being from Chicago I scoffed at everyone saying how cold they were. I take it all back - something about the dampness in the air in Florida makes the cold hit harder. It was 60* and sunny in Hollywood Studios and I was wearing a winter hat and gloves. Take care everyone!

We live in the mountains now but also have a house in Jax. 30 degrees down in Florida is absolutely colder than 30 degrees up here. I am convinced its because of the humidity.

We were at Disney December 2010 and it was in the 20's in the morning with ice on the docks. It also froze a lot of their beautiful flowers including their poinsettia trees which were in abundance that year. They've never fixed them like that again - they were lined up at Epcot between Future World and World Showcase. It made me sick too, as a big flower lover.
We nearly froze too even with gloves, hats, layers, etc.

I learned this a few years ago. I’m from Pittsburgh and don’t usually wear a hoodie until the high is in the mid/low 30s at home (granted I’m also not outside all day). But something about Florida. If im not in the sun in Florida I need a jacket/hoodie if it’s in the 40s and usually even low 50s. It does indeed have to do with the humidity as I’ve read that. The sun makes a HUGE difference though. Today while I was in the sun I was warm and had to take off my hoodie, but move out of it and I was cool and had to put it back on to be comfortable.

Heading down Friday. I've been watching the weather when planning clothes.

It will still be better than below zero wind chills here and many layers of snow and ice on the sidewalks. Finally got the car dug out today, hasn't been any mail delivery all week.

We will be arriving on Sunday, Feb 1st and it will be in the 40's!!!!!!!!! - for a high! That is cold enough for us to bring our winter coats. Even though we are used to cold weather in the Chicago area, cold in Florida is much worse. And we don't stay outside all day in cold weather if it's that cold. I must admit - I'm not looking forward to the cold weather. :(

We are here now, leaving tomorrow. We just wore heavy sweatshirts yesterday but Tuesday we wore winter coats. We are from Ohio and didn't think 40s could be that bad. We were wrong. Bring those hats and gloves too. Oh and sadly the cold weather hasn't kept the crowds away, still pretty typical for this time of year. At least it's been dry.

We leave Saturday from Michigan. I have the same sentiment as everyone else - after weeks and weeks of sub-zero weather the 40's will be a nice break. But this is far from ideal! My teenagers are grumbling about bringing winter gear to Florida. 🙄

We are going to Animal Kingdom Sunday (gotta get our last ride on Dinosaur). Is there a chance any of the exhibits will be closed? We actually love going to the Detroit Zoo in the winter so I'm **hoping** it will be a similar experience with the animals being more active and such.

I would think that the exhibits will still be open. But if the animals have a choice of whether to be outside or stay in a warm place, they might be out of sight.

I agree! It is bitter here in SE PA. I don’t usually mind cold weather, but this is ridiculous! And we are weary of looking at the weekend snow that is not melting anytime soon! :rolleyes2 We have had our share of WDW trips in colder weather. Somehow it doesn’t seem as bad there though…..
