Please don't use flash on PotC

I have to start out by saying that I am sorry. I did take a few pictures on some of the rides mentioned and I honestly did not hear "no flash photography." I had 2 children that were honestly at first scared of every ride that was dark and on POTC, Peter Pan, and Nemo, I had to calm both of the down at the beginning of the rides and I really did not hear it. So, we were there in April this year and if I offended anyone, I am really really sorry. I honestly didn't know. I will know next time though. I am not an inconsiderate person either. I consider myself to be a rule follower and I was not taking photos just to break the rules. I did not know the rule. Again sorry.:flower3:

What a nice, heartfelt apology!

I agree 100%! It's a real :headache: for those of us wearing glasses! I get blinded very briefly b/c the flash reflects on the inside of my glasses :sad2:.

I actually did turn around and reminded someone about the "No flash photography" rule at The Country Bears, when I was a teenager (1985).

I didn't know you couldn't take pictures of certain attractions now. I don't think it was like that 15 years ago. Can you purchase pictures of these attractions or even a DVD? I would like to bring some home to my sister who is disabled and has never been there.

Thanks

AFAIK you can take pictures in all attractions, you can't use the flash is all. Using the flash is the problem, taking the picture isn't.

I do not know the extent of your sister's disability but nearly all of WDW is very accessible and they offer many services to help out the disabled.

Here is the thing. I tried to get a picture on my phone and the light on my screen was to "bright". A lady on the boat told me no flash photography and to put my phone away very rudely and I told her that I wasn't thank you very much and she got pissed of. Sure no flash photography but geesh a little light on my phone's screen shouldn't start riots on the freaking ride.

Actually some people get very upset when others have lights on what are supposed to be DARK rides. :headache: So opening up your camera phone is not a good option either. Just use your camera without the flash.

Do you know the little screen on the front of the phones? That was the only light that I had on and I had it on dim so I could snap flash less pictures. I think she went overboard with this because you could hardly see the thing if you were sitting behind me.

POC is bad, but Peter Pan is horrible! The way the track is, when the moron a few boats behind is snapping, it's literally right in your eyes. Not to mention lighting up the whole interior so we could see ductwork and the mermaids aren't nearly as pretty without the blacklights. :headache: I yelled "No flash photography" a few times, but still it kept going. When we got off, I told the CM and she pulled the guy aside and gave him a talking to, but I'm not sure it helped. Quite honestly, the CMs don't "police" as much as they used to, they're afraid of losing their jobs or seeming "insensitive".
