Please don't get upset...

Our video camera was stolen from our stroller when we were with it!!!! It was the next to last day of our vacation and we were at MGM to see the parade. We had placed the stroller behind us with the video camera in (stupid, I know). After the parade we realized the camera had been taken. We tried lost and found, but it never turned up. We were sad about the loss of a new video camera, but more upset that we lost the tape that was inside of vacation memories. Needless to say, any cameras stay on our bodies now!

We saw something stolen from a stroller once.

We were walking up to HM and a bird flew down and helped itself to a few french fries out of the top tray of one of the strollers in the line up.

DH and myself laughed outloud.

We've never had anything taken from our strollers. However, my older ds left a sweatshirt in one of the CS restaurants at AK over Christmas. It disappeared within 15 minutes and was never seen again!!

Never had anything go missing, and I am pretty bad about forgetting to cover things up and just leaving them sitting in the stroller. We have also left a camera on a ride twice (and by 'we' I mean DH, who is no longer allowed to carry it) and both times we got it back. :thumbsup2

We always take all of of our valuables with us on the rides, and we write our family name in big black marker on the back of our cheap umbrella stroller. You know the one that you get for free at TRU when you spend a certain amount that every other person has in the parks?

Well, it was my DD bday and we had done CRT character breakfast and the princesses gave her a birthday card that was signed by all of them. It was the only thing in the bag and we left it hanging on the stroller while we went into Pir. of the Car. We came out and it was gone. Oh, the tears. Oh, the heartbreak. Of course we immediately told DD we would go back to the castle and get a new one. We starting walking and I saw a bag on a bench and told my DH to check it and there it was. Someone took it and then dropped it on a bench when they realized it was nothing worth $$$. Of course to us it was priceless.

I cannot tell you the disappointment I felt in whomever had taken it. I just like to think that Disney is crime free, but I guess that is not the reality.

Our friends brought their own stroller with them (nice quality stroller) and it was stolen! Cast members were hoping that perhaps it was accidently taken in a "mistaken identity" situation and said it might turn up after the parks closed. Unfortunately it did not. :confused3

My advice? Rent one of WDW strollers cause' you can't steal those and if you park hop, you don't have to pay at each park. Only leave non-valuable items in stroller. I am always amazed by the amount of souvenier bags, stuffed with expensive purchaes, are left in the bottom of strollers!! Either put your purchases in a locker or have them forwarded to your room if you are on property.

Same here never a bad experience with anything being stolen. I am sure thier are some people out there that are not as home as our DIS family

MyDD barbie doll disappeared during out last trip. I dont know if she dropped it or if it was taken when we were in Philarmagic

this last Nov we were at AK and I had a brand new baseball cap that I had bought my son hanging over the handle. It was drying out from the rapid ride. NE Ways we went inside to see its tough to be a bug and when we came out it was gone. That has been my only experience in WDW with stolen items

During MNSSHP we had 2 unopened gatorades taken from the back pockets of rented Disney stroller. We had bag clips and our name on the stroller. I guess people were just really thristy.

We had no problems, had two strollers. We didn't usually leave anything of value. Our diaper bag (cheapie) and jackets. Occassionally we left our purchases and our buzz light year light. Nothing was ever touched.

Either put your purchases in a locker or have them forwarded to your room if you are on property.

You don't have to use a locker. You can have anything you buy in the parks held for you at the park entrance. You can even do this on the final day of a trip, though not in the final hour or so before the park closes.

As to leaving valuables (even just the sentimental kind) in a stroller, VERY foolish. Thieves often will just roll the stroller away from the parking area so that they can rifle through it in a more private place, then dump it.

The best thing to do is to put all your stuff in a backpack slung over the stroller handles; you can just grab it an go when you get to the ride. If you have more stuff than will fit in a backpack, then you are bringing way too much into the parks.

Never had anything stolen but I did walk off with the wrong stroller once. Had a few bags in ours and so did this one. Noticed in about 10 mins and took it back and swaped it for our own and mentioned it to the CM in case anyone was looking for it. Don't know if the owner ever knew it or not.
