I received some nice items from someone here on the board for my sisters babies
I thought it was for the mom of 2 expecting triplets who was kicked out of her house so the other woman could move it.
Oh and could you explain the difference between lawyer and attorney, since you claim she had appointments with both lawyers and attorneys on the same day.

IMHO..moral or not..the reason tiggger1 is just so upset is she was basically USED by a complete stranger (tigger113) and slapped so hard in her face when the items were found on EBAY....and to add to it tigger113 says to tiggger1 (*I so wish their names weren't so darn similiar..10000 million names on the DIS and these two both start with TIGGER!)..."well I showed the outfits to my sister and she did not like them"...AND this is the sister (or friend)(pregnant w/twins or triplets) is poor because her husband LEFT her and because SISTER does NOT like the items (mind you allot of DISNEY baby items)...tigger113 just puts them on EBAY to sell. So now this poor sister can be THAT choosey.... :confused3

The bottomline: it just SMELLS so bad!!!

:sad2: :sad2:

Even if you are absolutely correct about all of this...and perhaps you are, I really have no idea...I don't understand why you are making such a HUGE deal out of it. If you give someone an item and they re-sell it on eBay, that's not the end of the world. If you feel she has defrauded you (legally), then by all means file a claim against her. Post the information on the boards to forewarn others, or whatever. But IMO you are WAY overreacting. Just don't give her anything else, don't give to anyone at all from now on if you don't want to, but like I said, IMO you are WAY overreacting by threatening to call the news. :confused3 JMO.

It is not our place to pass judgement on a person and his or her emotion, it may be your opinion that she is overreacting but keep it at that, your opinion

Ohh...that's right friend was pregnant with triplets and also had a 4yo and 5 yo at home with no husband.

Karma, karma, karma and a pinch of karma.

To all of you that got suckered, learn from this and move forward. Also know in your hearts that you thought you were doing a good thing and be proud of that fact. There will always be slimy people out there (even on the DIS boards) but you can always hold your head high and know that you are not one of them!

I like how you also posted as Mommy2Lots on your other thread, trying to throw posters off of the trail. ORIGINALLY, Mommy2Lots name said that they were located in "North of Atlanta Georgia", but was moving to TX in 2 weeks, but living in CO right now. Now, Mommy2Lots deleted their location under their name. Interesting.

Are you sure on this, because even on Mommy2Lots 3rd post upon joining the DIS, she states she's in Colorodo. ?? And in one of her last posts here on the DIS, she links to an auction site (not ebay) where she has a group of large baby items available by pick up only in Denver Colorado.

Not defending anyone here. I just don't see the definite connection. What key am I missing?

now here is some professional and free advice

if there is no written or verbal contract in ref to the items, that specifically states she cannot resell or give the items away it is basically none of your business.

i don't know the facts or the background but if the op said she needed things when she did not (AGAIN ONLY IF THIS HAPPENED) just to sell them, she should be ashamed of herself, it is more of a moral issue not one of fraud.
Once you give items away, they no longer belong to you, and what she does with them from this point forward does not concern you.

Everyone act like adults and let it go.

I disagree. Preying on the good will and compassion of these board members is the business of everyone here, in my opinion.

In Michigan, Larceny by False Pretense fits quite nicely (MCL 750.218).

While the true victims may be a small group, everyone here is a potential victim, so I would submit it does concern every one of us.

I'm thinking that telling everyone they are not acting mature or adult like is not going to win many friends.

I guess your personal advise is worth the cost?

well some free advice to the op if this is all true what everyone is saying, is to take the items down, return them and give an apology letter to those effected. Times are hard right now finacially for some, there are really good people here on the dis, i give advice to some who cannot otherwise afford it and people do not try to take advantage of people here if this is true it was a terrible thing to do. Again i do not know enough about it all but from reading the entire thread it does not look favorable.

If people were scammed, i am sorry it happened but let it go only because it will cost more to take her to court then the worth of the items, me personally i go after people for the principle of things and i don't worry about the costs but not everyone can do that.

If the op reads this and did do what she is accused of doing, make it right. These are good people here they may be angry right now, but i think in time they may forgive, never forget but at least forgive.

I agree that Tigger1 should be upset!!! I actually spoke to my husband about this poor woman who's having triplets story......and what we could do. Good thing I haven't sent her anything yet.

My mouth hit the floor today when reading this thread! I CAN'T believe it was all a lie!!!!!! :furious:

It is such a shame that she ruined any trust we may have had here. Especially when someone really is in need of items!! :sad2:

If her sister didn't want them then she should have returned them or asked permission to sell them!!!!!!!

So you think it should be kept form other Dis boards members? Do you think it is right to protect others on this board from this happing again? Just a question I wandered how you felt. Would you want to know if a person had done this over and over? No flaming here, I really just want to know what you think. To protect or not to protect.

What went on here today with this scamming or fraudulent behavior or taking of someone's items and putting them on Ebay or totally misrepresenting yourself to members on the DIS Boards....legal or illegal...whatever you want to call it....

This IS the sole reason people shy away from being GENEROUS. People call out to people in time of NEED and then they are "ripped off" and it HURTS!!! Yes, it does. And it sends a message to everyone who has not been through something like this..."DO NOT EVER GET INVOLVED"...do not donate or support fundraisers.

I, myself have done a few Exchanges and they were all above board BUT I am probably going to "cool it" abit from any more Exchanges. This just leaves a bad feeling when crap like this happens. For the most part, we are all good, caring, law abiding citizens but then again there are few people out there that TAKE ADVANTAGE of us and we feel used and hurt!!!

OKAY...back out to lay in the sun!!! :beach:

boy, aren't we mature? so hey, knock yourself out, hold on to the anger, and keep getting yourself stirred up about good luck with that :rotfl:

hi, umm no, i read the first page and it seemed to be an arugment between two people, a fued, that is why i said it did not belong here because it looked like a cat fight. then it got good so i ended up reading the entire thing and all the comments, so it is the business of people here since this is where the (scam) happened and i would want to know, i of course would vow to protect my dis friends from something like this, there are good people with kind hearts here and when a person is in need it's nice to know that people, strangers will jump to aid and assist. But it is done, and what's done is done, if the people harmed by this keep getting angry it is not going to anything but keep them upset, that is why i say let it go.

I agree with both HappyLawyer and eeyoregon, but no matter how she asked for the stuff everyone has to take some responsibility. Tiggger1 was too trusting to someone she hardly even knew and Tigger113 was just a liar. Now if Tigger113 would have just thrown the clothes in the trash because her so-called sister didn't want them, I doubt anyone would be complaining. But because she decided to sell them for profit, it pissed Tiggger1 off because that was something she could have done. So now she's upset because somebody is basically making money off her. It's like, if I didn't make any money off of it then you can't either.....Not saying the way Tigger113 went about it was honorable, but there's not really anything you can do about it now.....Just make a vow to yourself that you will never let that happen to you again.

What can ya say? :confused3

The point is people don't believe there is a sister pregnant with twins or a friend pregnant with triplets. It is not that the sister didn't like them-it is that everything is a lie. Just like the story about looking for Starbucks coupons. The OP was scamming people. It isn't about someone else making money. This person was MAKING UP STORIES to scam people on the DIS.

A Larceny by False Pretenses is a crime, I'm sure the victims state has a similar statue. Getting prosecution is an entirely different dabate.

Notifying the board in general of the criminal activities of someone is not a bad thing, is it? When the other board members could be the next potential victim?

I guess telling everyone they weren't acting like adults is mature?

And, I'm neither angry nor stirred up. Actually, I'm glad to see the matter brought to light so others won't be victimized.

Wow, she certainly has been busy, hasn't she? She seems to have quite a business going on Ebay.
