Please define your "Pooh-size" if you will...

Okay, I'm fully aware that there's an "Everything Pooh-Sized" thread, but I really need help and that thread is about 100 pages long and filled with more information on more pooh-sized topics than I can handle. If you don't mind, I could really use some answers on this thread because I'm 6 weeks out from our trip and I've gained a tremendous amount of weight since our last trip.

If you're pooh-sized, can you please define the following...and I'd be happy to receive it by private message. I just need something to set my mind at ease...

Women especially...

Approximate weight
Approximate height

At your size, was there anything specific that gave you problems or anything you avoided?

In the interest of fairness, I'll start.

5'7"
320 or 330
28
Same height, about 311, and size 26 with VERY large "girls". I rode everything except Sum of all thrills with no issues. That ride wouldn't close over said girls. Had some problems with chafing, but that problem is solved this time b/c I already have my body glide ready to go. My feet are always a problem, but it's due to an injury, so I can't attest to going without that issue. You will be fine, I promise!

yea i think the flight over there was not fun, i've heard that southwest was the worst with overwieght people. my DH said he wanted to ask for an extender but he was scared to, he just sucked it a lil a delt with it. the plane lady (i forgot what thier called) was staring at us the whole time we were putting seat belts on
Most people have reassured me that it is not an issue to ask them for an extender. I got mine closed, but just barely, so I unbuckled it and hid that it wouldn't close b/c I didn't know if they would give me issues about it. Since then everyone has told me to ask, and USUALLY they are very discreet.

6'7", 375lbs.
44x36 pants, XXXXL shirts. Currently tanning furiously in preparation for our upcoming trip because brown fat looks a whole lot better than white fat. :cool1:
Hahahahahaha!!!!!:rotfl:

OP, no worries. I say old turnstiles and the Sum of all Thrills and the cousin of it at DQ (the big simulator robotic arm ones) are probably your only problem. Hubby is similar to Wadecool and has been able to do everything he wanted. If you are hippy then some of the theatre seats might be tight, but if you do the 'sit forward, slide back' approach you should be ok. We both do that and I have no problems and hubby's only a little squished. Our only problems were the new robotic arm simulators. (which looked cool... oh well more incentive for the treadmill :))

i generally found if big & tall could do it, big & short/average wasn't a problem. can't say the same about universal... that's definitely a skinny person park.

I'm 5'2" and weigh about 220. Size 20-22. I have no problem on any ride at disney. The only problem I do have is getting off rides like space mountain where you are basically on the ground. I take my time getting off. Sometimes my son will give me a hand. I even went on the astro orbiter and if I remember correctly that was a little tight but still fit. My son will also help me with buckles (like on Kali).

Traveled with my BF last year, she is 5'2" and is 300 wears a size 26. she had some issues with turnstyles but we quickly learned to ask a CM to avoid them (the worst was Haunted Mansion and I hear they've removed those). She had no issues with any of the rides themselves.

OP Here...I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for your very thoughtful replies and PMs to this thread. While I'd be lying if I didn't admit to still being worried (seeing is believing. LOL), I want you to know that your experiences have really set my mind mostly at ease.

We leave in 31 days and I can't wait. This is going to be *the best* vacation EVER! :) Thank you!!!

I am Pooh sized and so is my friend. She was very nervous to go to the water park. I told her that there would be people bigger then her wearing less then her. Once we got there she was stunned. I was right :cool1: She has been wearing a swimsuit ever since. The theory is you won't see any of them again so have fun. I do wonder why they still have turnstyles but I have seen average size people have issues. I find if I stand a little higher and side ways I have no issues. Enjoy!!!!:cloud9:

I am 5'9" & currently weigh 240 lbs, size 18/20. I have been to WDW everywhere from a size 12 to a size 24. I have never really had any issues, other than being super self-conscious.

My best tip is for any ride with a seatbelt - reach down & loosen it all the way up before you sit down. It's much easier to tighten it once you're seated than to try to loosen it to get it buckled when you're half-sitting on it. I like to think I'm kinda sly & no one notices me doing it. :thumbsup2

I've also found this spring that I am no longer a fan of shorts. Too many full length mirrors. :scared1: I found some great light-weight capris at JCPenney's that I absolutely love. They are St John's Bay with a loopy thing at the bottom to cuff them up if you want. They are actually much cooler than wearing jean shorts & dry very quickly, which will come in handy on Splash!

I got my light-weight capris at Target! No riding, no chafing, no rubbing. There are so light-weight you stay cool and really easy to pack! I second the capris!
