I just officially booked my families 2nd Disney trip!! pixiedust: (my 3rd. I got lucky and got to take a quick business solo trip)
We will be staying at AoA little mermaid rooms from May 17-22.
It's me, DH, DD ( will be 5 at the time of the trip) and DS (7).

Day 1:Fly in (hopefully land around noon) hang out at the pool. Downtown Disney. Dinner at T-Rex

Day 2: Magic Kingdom. Dinner at Ohana. Can we take the boat from MK to the Polynesian? If yes. How long is the boat ride?

Day 3: Hollywood Studios. Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine and Dinner at 50's prime time. We will go back to the room to rest in between so we can stay for fantasmic (we didn't get to see it our first visit)

Day 4: Animal Kingdom. No table service meals planned. Probably hang out at the pool in evening

Day 5: Magic Kingdom. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Take the Monorail? How much time should we factor in to get there?

Day 6: Last Day. Hoping to get a late flight. Epcot

On our two MK days, Can you see the firework from the Polynesian or the grand Floridian? Or should we plan on going back to MK on one of those nights to see them?

I don't remember about a boat to the Polynesian, but you can definitely take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian

The Monorail or a boat launch will take you to the Grand Floridian. Via boat, it's the first stop. Via Monorail, it's the last (4th) stop. I feel like a rule of thumb is to allow an hour for transportation, but it shouldn't take you that long.

There's a great view of Wishes from the beach at the Poly, and they pipe the music in to the boat dock. Depending on your timing and table, you might be able to see wishes from O'hana, too.

I'm sure there are good viewing spots from the GF, too, but I haven't tried in a while, so I'll let someone else chime in on that. :)

Sounds like a great trip - have fun!

House of blues in Dtd had a restaurant dot com discount for 40-48% off depending on time of purchase. Type in wdw zip code.

Wait extra for a table near fire pit.

Must eat at flame tree BBQ unless simply don't like BBQ.

Exit mk to hostess at 1900PF about 20-25 is plenty of time. From hotel 1 hour.

Thanks so much for the info. I knew one of the hotels I could do the boat from MK but wasn't sure which one. I figured the kids would enjoy that.

Do you have to be a guest at the hotel to go out to the beach area?

Day 2: Magic Kingdom. Dinner at Ohana. Can we take the boat from MK to the Polynesian? If yes. How long is the boat ride? Yes, you can take a boat from MK to Poly... It should look very nice, as you'll be there after renovations are complete. The boat ride itself is perhaps 15-25 mins, but it will be longer if you have to wait for a boat to come. I've easily taken 45 mins between waiting for a boat and hitting shore. I'd say if you want to do this, go earlier than you think and spend any extra time wandering around Poly. It's a great place, and all the renovations should make for some interesting new things to see.

Day 3: Hollywood Studios. Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine and Dinner at 50's prime time. We will go back to the room to rest in between so we can stay for fantasmic (we didn't get to see it our first visit) I really love Fantasmic... So FP+ it if you can, or get the dining package. I personally wouldn't do breakfast and dinner in the same day, but that's your preference.

Day 4: Animal Kingdom. No table service meals planned. Probably hang out at the pool in evening Remember to go early... to get the best chance of viewing animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari Tour.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Take the Monorail? How much time should we factor in to get there? Yes, you can take the monorail... I'd factor in about 35 minutes from getting to that gate, just in case you have to wait a bit due to the number of people. May can be busy, so you might have to wait for the second train. Remember to show up 15 mins early for your res.

Day 6: Last Day. Hoping to get a late flight. Epcot

Yes and yes. You can see fireworks from both places. I've heard that the Poly is going to crack down more on non-guests using their beach, where the music is piped in for the fireworks. I don't know that for sure, though. The Grand has a good view across the water our near the patio of the CS location, but no music is piped in.

Thanks for all the great info!! I usually wouldn't do two TS meals in one day but we did H&V on our last trip and really enjoyed it and want to do it again. And I heard that 50's is really good. We aren't doing park hoppers so our only choice is to do them in the same day. We actually did this on our last trip too. We did H&V for breakfast and Sci-fi for dinner. We skipped lunch and just snacked. It worked out pretty good. My DH isn't really a big breakfast eater so all the other mornings we'll eat in the room. (ordering from garden grocer)

Oh I forgot to mention that my DD might make the 40" mark by our trip!! So excited!! She is small for her age and on our first trip just barely made the cutoff for the barnstormer.

Also can anyone help me on ADR times. I'd really like to watch the fireworks from the beach at poly after dinner at ohana. How much time should I allow for dinner?
On the night we do fantasmic and dinner at 50's prime time what time should I try to get reservations for?

Day 4: Animal Kingdom. No table service meals planned. Probably hang out at the pool in evening. If you have a good zoo where you are from , this park is a 1/2. Doing the safari and MT Everest. the BBQ place there is pretty good as well.

We have done table service before and it just seems to eat up to much time. No pun intended :rotfl2:. Thinking about if you are on the back side of the park and need to depart. thast 20 min walking and a bus 20-30 minutes. There is almost an hour and you haven't eaten... and you got to get back. Sure there are few monorail for you, but you get my point.

I would allow for an hour for dinner and then have 1 to 1 1/2 hours between end of dinner and fireworks for the fantasmic line. You won't need as much time between dinner and fireworks for Ohana's but i believe you can watch the electric water pageant thing which happens right before the fireworks.
And the boat does go to the Poly. You could contact the Poly for avg. travel time.
