We are a family of four - myself, DH and two girls 3 and 20 months.....
We have the following booked:

Ohanas - Dinner
Le Cellier - Dinner
BBB/CRT- breakfast
Ohana - Breakfast
HOllywood & Vine - Breakfast
1900 Park Fare - Dinner
Tusker house - Breakfast
Chef Mickey - Breakfast

My doubts are Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine....I am also doubting whether Chef Mickey's I should do breakfast or dinner...we will be switching from the Poly to AK that morning, and although we can take the Monorail from the Poly to CR, I don't know if that is just too hectic?

The look GREAT to me! Of course I am no expert, but in my HUMBLE opinion, they seem delicious.

I definitely would choose CM's for breakfast over dinner. We enjoy breakfast food more in general, but love it here for a great breakfast. If you are switching resorts, just send your luggage to AKL (I think Disney transports luggage for you between resorts) and monorail over to the CR. After eating, you can walk to MK and take the AKL bus to your new resort to check in. Instead of that you could also head to a park if you wanted by using the CR buses, walking to MK or monorail (Epcot/MK). I think you can check in at AKL later in the day if you are anxious to get to a park after eating. Others with more experience will chime in and correct me if I am messing up that procedure.

I don't know anything about H and V for breakfast - is it the Playhouse Disney one? I think I've read good reports on here, but someone will come along to help you with that.

Not sure what your questions about Tusker House are, but we did this breakfast when it was Donald's Breakfastosaraus and enjoyed it a lot. Haven't been since the change, but it seems fine to me. Again, someone with more recent experience will add more soon.

Enjoy your meals and your trip!!

I didnt like Tusker House. It had a lot of different foods that I didnt really enjoy. My DH is NOT a picky eater and didnt enjoy it either.....Hollywood & Vine for breakfast is prolly a good choice. Breakfast foods is about the same anywhere you go. I didnt care for dinner there however.....

Id do Dinner at Chef Mickeys. IF you are moving that day then you may not have enough time to make it to breakfast by your ressies....but use your best judgement....

My opinions...

'Ohana- Fabulous! I really like this one. Be sure not to eat too much though, because the dessert is the best at WDW.

Le Cellier- Another fantastic one. Good job getting an ADR! It isn't easy...
I would go for the Mushroom Fillet Mignon.

CRT - Never been, but I'm guessing your girls will enjoy it.

Never been to the others, nothing really to say about them. But I'm sure other DISers can give you some good input. :goodvibes

Hi Amy, I think all your places sound like great choices for a family with two young kids. The only thing I was wondering about is whether you really want to eat so many breakfasts. The mornings at the park are really the best time as it is relatively uncrowded. So I personally don't want to spend that time eating breakfast on many days. I rather prefer dinners and recently found out that table service lunch actually is a great thing as it gives you a nice break!

Definitely stick with H&V, it is THE character meal designed for little ones like your girls. If you want to mix it up make that a lunch vs breakfast. That way you can tour the park, get a lot of character stuff done, have a built in break and be ready for more fun for the afternoon.

We did Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast and loved the food, fun and atmosphere. I think getting your kids there first thing of the day when they are well rested is best. Waiting 'til dinner there is a greater chance for melt downs; if not with yours with others. In the morning kids are ready to go and what a better way to start than Mickey and friends? You also don't have to book breakfast at the crack of dawn, maybe book a 9 or 10am so you don't feel its too hectic.

Since you are staying at AKL I would drop the TH breakfast (you'll see those characters at Chef Mickey's) and book a dinner at Boma. Have a CS breakfast at the Mara that AM instead. AK closes early so eating at "home" can be nice and allow you to enjoy your resort even more that evening. There are some kid events in the evening at AKL.

I really could not handle so many buffets, especially for breakfast. They kind of all seem the same to me after awhile. Also, so many breakfasts will seriously eat into your park time. Anyway, Chef Mickey's is a great choice for your kids. I think that Le Cellier is the best choice on your list...I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!

If you have early ADR times for breakfast then your list looks great! We have early 8AM ADRs so that we can get into the parks early for some great photo-ops. If your family is up anyway, why not enjoy a fun breakfast before you start your day!

I agree about the breakfasts, too many.......Sit down takes so much time to begin with especially with little ones, and going to Early Magic Hours can be very beneficial in getting things done in a park. I actually suggest going to the H&V lunch. Still get the characters and the food is great with many choices. We did this (lunch) last year even though DH and I had a bad experience at H&V in 2004 just so DD could see the characters. Well let me tell you things and the food improved so much that DH stopped a manager and expressed his pleasure at the changes and the improved food quality. We would definitely consider this again.

Also you if your are changing resorts, doing a character or ts breakfast that morning is not recommended. You will have enough to do moving.

Ohana and Le Cellier are both good choices for dinner. CRT, though its been awhile, is good for breakfast. Ohana, breakfast is good. H&V...never ate here, but wondered through a few weeks back. It looked good but doesnt get rave reviews. 1900, we ate one time. Nothing grand about it IMO. TH, no opinion, only had lunch there. CM, breakfast, cant go wrong.

at first glance- it seems to me that you have a few more character bfasts than i would suggest for a few reasons. The first is- you don't know if your kids are going to like having the characters at this age, you are going to take up time in the morning which is typically the least crowded time of the day to do rides etc, and also i prefer with small kids having lunch instead as it gives us a break in the day. At that age- dinner for us really wasn't worth it so i totally think you are fine in that category.

Ohanas - Dinner this is fine. Food is okay, it is loud, it is fun for the kids, also- in case no one offers be aware they offer a kids meal.

Le Cellier - Dinner I know people rave about this but i think it is pretty subpar but we are used to NYC steakhouses. Also- it is tight in there and I didn't like doing it when my little ones were in highchairs and such.

BBB/CRT- breakfast - magical...

Ohana - Breakfast - great place to see mickey. Nice not to have a buffet too

HOllywood & Vine - Breakfast - with the kids your kids age, this is fantastic> Iknow a lot of people flame it here but it is simple breakfast, a lot of dancing, singing, and just fun. I would think having a lunch time be would be better but the last time we went for lunch- the food was so beyond awful that even the fun my kids had with the characters didn't help

1900 Park Fare - Dinner never done this

Tusker house - Breakfast - have not done bfast but did lunch and it was one of the best meals of the last trip. Unless you have your heart set on another character brunch- i might suggest doing this for lunch (if you are a little more adventurous of eaters because i find AK gets a little hot and is big from walking around so we usually do an early lunch at a sit down there.

Chef Mickey - Breakfast I know people love this- and it is certainly festive it just isn't my fave (we are more low key people). Def do bfast over any other meals though as i think dinner is nasty.
