please compare POR an CBR Pool Only

I have gathered all the pros an cons for US to both resorts thanks to these boards an youtube videos...what I am trying to use as my final decision is the pools....please let me know what you like an dislike about both resorts pool...thanks in advance

I have stayed at both, and while I think POR is a much better resort overall, CBR has the better pool. The theming is better, the slide is better and the activities are better. That being said, I think POR has a nice pool, and it is underrated when compared to CBR or CSR, as those pools are basically small water parks.

CBR has a separate area for children 48" and under that is gated with some small slides and water play area. If you have young children this area is fantastic! The pool also has 2 slides. It's just a really pretty area with fantastic theming.

POR also has a nice pool but if you're basing your decision on the pool alone, I would go with CBR.

We have stayed at both resorts and as far as the pools go, CBR wins with my family, hands down!

We've stayed at CBR twice and my boys still say CBR is one of their favorite pools on property. There are two water slides, zero entry, the theme is fun, there are two hot tubs, and the pirate ship water play area is tons of fun for kids. We love the tropical feel, the music, and the landscaping at this pool. We are going to WDW this summer and my kids asked if we could stay at CBR for a few nights because they "miss the pool". We'll be at CBR for 3 nights before heading to YC (another pool my kiddos love), and honestly, I'm as excited as the kids to go back to CBR. It's our summer "go to" resort, when we want to save a bit of money and stay at a moderate.

While I thought POR had a nice pool, there was nothing that stood out as "amazing" to us. It's just a nice pool, with a fun slide. My kids have never asked to go back to POR for the pool.

I've never stayed at CBR so I can't compare, but I do want to mention that if you stay at POR you also have access to POFQ's pool since they are sister resorts.

Yes, you can use both pools if staying at PO, but I don't think many kids would really want to use the POFQ pool. Of all the pools with slides in WDW this was my kids least favorite. They thought the pool and slide were lame compared with other moderate resorts. Of course not all kids want a thrilling slide, and POFQ's slide and pool are definitely great if you have young children. We found the slide there geared more towards toddler age kids, it was a short, wide, slow slide. Great for little ones, but not for "thrill" seeking 7-12 year old ages, at least not in my kids' opinion.

This is great to hear about the CBR main pool. We have one 11 yr old DS & he doesn't remember the resort when we stayed there in 2007( he was only 6). 9 more days until CBR

We stayed at POFQ so I dont have much experience with the POR pool but we've stayed at CBR and love the pool there.

We were deciding between CBR and POFQ for this trip and CBR won because of the pool. We love the zero entry pool and the water play area for the smaller children.

CBR pool is definitely better for kids, especially kids who love waterslides. For adults, the POR pool is awesome, and tends to be less crowded than CBR's pool (POFQ's pool typically seems to have a lot more kids than POR's). If you're basing your decision on the pool alone, go with CBR if you have kids, or POR if you don't.

Thanks to all of you for your responses, we are currently booked at CBR an it looks if we will be staying it would be a cost to switch to POR due to no standard rooms being available...thanks again...ugh I just cant get excited about CBR
