I will be a first timer at MGM on my upcoming visit. I read the info on Star Tours and I thought it sounds similar enough to BTTF to be concerned about my neck. I only do BTTF once every 3 or 4 trips because it is so rough on my aging bones! How is the ride on Star Tours compared to BTTF? Thanks.

BTTF makes me sick every time I go on it and it's really rough as you already know. OTOH, I never get sick on Star Tours. It doesn't throw you around half as much as BTTF. Even Body Wars at Epcot is rougher than Star Tours, IMO.

Try it out, I think you'll be OK.

Thank you. I was hoping that would be the case. I have never been on Body Wars either.

My opinion is that BTTF is MUCH more intense than Star Tours and Body Wars put together! My kids loved it but I must admit being glad it was over the second time around. And I love all the rides including Hulk and Dueling Dragons! That's just me and I'm thirtysomethinginging.

Agreed. BTTF is much more "throw around" than Star Tours.

The daft thing is I love coasters but motion master rides, ala Star Tours etc, make me feel really ill. Dunno why?!

BTTF is a much more unpleasant ride than Star Tours is. You should be fine on ST.

I get so sick everytime I ride BTTF, but I can handle Star Tours without any problems.

Thank you for all of the responses. I will definately ride. :thumbsup2

I recently rode Star Tours for the first time in probably 10 years and was surprised at how tame it was compared to any recent sim I've been on. Maybe it was just that one vehicle, but it wasn't bad at all, very smooth

I haven't rode BTTF in several years because it was so rough. I tried it again this weekend (bottom floor) and last weekend (top floor) and it seemed toned down from earlier rides. I hate it when the attendant assigns a car to 2 groups of 3 and a group of 2 to a car. With 4 seats in front and 4 in back you have to split up one of the groups.
Star Tours is more like Wild Artic.

I believe there are stationary seats you can request on Star Tours, so you could ride without all the movement if you wanted.
