Please Comment-How's my Price for the Trip-Please

I am going to Poly 5/6 through 5/13 (7 nights). I am paying $4059 (price includes $100 rebate from AAA, with whom I booked the trip) for Garden View Room, 8 Day Magic Your Way Park Hopper, and Disney Dining (7 Table, 7 Snacks, 7 Quick Service per Person). It is me, my wife, 6 year old girl, and 3 year old girl. I know I don't need 8 Day Ticket, but the price for a day or two less is only a few bucks.

So, how is the price? Fair? Ripoff? Deal of the Century? Please comment

Doesn't look too bad. Whether or not it's a good deal depends on whether the $4059 includes tax.

Here's how I'd calculate it. 8-day MYW tickets, with park hopping, would cost, with tax, about $880 for two adults and two children. Dining for 7 days for two adults and two children, with tax, is about $700.

So that's $1580 for dining and park tickets. That means you are paying $2479 for seven nights at the poly. This comes out to $354 per night.

Rack rate for the time of year you are going is $369 per night without tax or $411 with tax.

So if your $4059 does NOT include tax, you are only saving about $15 per night, or $105 for your trip. That's not too good.

If your $4059 DOES include tax, then your are saving $57 a night, or $400 total. Not too bad. That's about 10 percent, which is pretty much the standard AAA room only discount if you had simply called yourself and booked through disney asking for a AAA room only discount.

If it includes taxes, then you are getting a decent deal -- 10 percent during regular season is nothing to sneeze at.

Whether or not the disney dining plan saves you money is up to you.

You are paying $100 a day for the disney dining package. Whether or not that will save you money depends on whether you otherwise would have spent $100 a day on food that you are getting through the dining package. Basically, for your $700 for the seven nights, you are getting 14 adult and 14 children's table service meals, 28 counter service meals, and 28 snacks. If you use the dining package correctly, you should easily be able to get $1,000 in food for that, in which case you are saving another $300. On the other hand, if you don't plan ahead, you could easily squander the dining plan -- leaving your vacation without eating some of the meals, or otherwise spending lots of additional dollars on dining despite having the dining package. (Believe me, Disney is counting on a large number of people doing exactly that -- since you're visiting these boards, that's probably not you.) Visit the dining boards on this site and get some tips on how to use the dining plan to save money. But if you're not a planner by nature, or don't take the time to understand how the dining package works, it could actually cost you money you wouldn't have spent.

If your rate is after the rebate then it is not as good of a deal. according to the above calcs you would actually only be saving $300 for a 7 day trip. I would definitely watch for discount codes. so the actual price that AAA is quoting you is 4159. I would also ask if your tickets are non expire since you are getting extra days. It would truly be a waste if you have the extra days and you know you won't use them. A few bucks here and there will add up an extra souvenir or dessert.
