I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but the more I think about it the more confused I get. Where exactly does the boat from the Poly take you? As in what resorts/parks (does it go directly to MK?)

Also if you walk to the TTC...is this where the monorail to Epcot is? And also the bus to AKL (to do dinner at Boma or Jiko?)

thanks for any help you could give me to clear this up?

Danielle

The Poly boat launch takes you to the MK, GF and back to the Poly.

You can either walk to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot or you can take the resort monorail all the way around to the TTC. It's much quicker to just walk over to the TTC.

You can take a bus to the AKL several different ways. The easiest from the Poly would be to take the monorail over to MK. Disembark the monorail at the MK and then walk over to the bus transportation and take the AKL bus to the resort. Buses generally depart the MK on the hour, at 20 minutes past and 20 minutes to the hour.

The boat from POLY to MK is really nice if you have time to wait for it. There are usually only one or two running so there can sometimes be a longer wait for that than the other transportation options. The line can also be long if the parks/resorts are busy since it holds a much smaller amount of people. But if it's not crowded, we love taking it. It is a nice relaxing ride, and we find it more enjoyable since there are not many people on it. Just don't take it if it's raining or you think rain is coming - we were coming back to POLY one night when a rainstorm started while we were halfway back! No matter how far everyone leaned in the rain still came in because of the way the wind was blowing - everyone was soaked by the time we got to POLY! Luckily it was a warm night so we didn't care that much and just changed when we got back to the room. We still laugh about that every time we go back!

thanks for the info! Last time we were there we took the Monorail to the GF for dinner at Narcoose's not realizing we could have just hopped on a boat! And I didn't realize any busses left from the TTC- I will definitely take advantage of that now.

thanks again i appreciate it :goodvibes

The easiest way to go from the Polynesian to AK for dinner is take a taxi, it will be worth extra money to save you a great deal of time.

okay thanks! I think we will use the taxi idea for AKL...probably not worth the hassle. I never would have considered that so thanks- time is precious in Disney :hyper:

thanks again appreciate your input :goodvibes

The boat from Poly to GF would take a while as it goes to the MK first so you have to wait for folks to get off and new folks to get on then sail back to GF. You would much better off taking monorail to GF and boat back to Poly.

Don't forget that there is also a walkway between the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, which is very easy to figure out.

The only WDW buses that go to the TTC are park buses....TTC>DAK and TTC>MGM...and return of course.

okay thank you. We will have to do some exploring on our next trip :woohoo: But at least we'll know how to get from point A to point B this time... and all the different ways to do it! Thanks to all of you for helping us have a more efficient trip...time is precious in disney :wizard:

take care,

Danielle
