Please cheer me up

I usually don't ask for cheers but i'm feeling so down. I gathered my girls tonight (triplets 4yo) sat them down beside the suitcases and started to share some special things i had gotten for our trip. I was showing them mommies special disboards fanny pack and i opened it up to find mommies special lanyard and button but it's GONE. I just ordered my disboards lanyard and personilzed button two weeks ago and it's gone! I never get special things like this but this was a special trip for us and my dh splurged for me. I have searched my house upside down. They have had me on a teasure hunt telling me it's in the toy box, under my pillow ect... Emily did confess to liking the pretty necklance and the button I know it's trivial but we leave in two weeks and i know i don't have time to get them replaced. My Emily is so into everything she even wrote on Jessica's shoes with INK today at school Just not a good day and i thought we'd got to bed on a happy disney note but now i'm steamed with them and Emmie is in the bed early for her no no. Just needed to vent so i thought i'd come to my dis friends only you guys would understand being upset over my loss of disboard goodies. Hey i do still have my dis shirts, and fanny pack. Oh shoot the kid id's where in there with the lanyard and button too!!!!!! O i could just withhold snacks from emmie if she where up i would.

Well being and raising a child who takes and hides things, I would say search in places where she might keep special things. However, when my DD11 takes things she usually puts them where SHE thinks they would go. Does she have a box or something that she puts special things in? i would check there if I were you.

Good luck, you will find it. She might just bring it to you, bring on the water works, lol, that might get her guilt going.

Those little imps are getting so big! I often think about how much fun and mischief must go on at your house. I imagine it's like a crazy party every day, and there are probably loads of things that will never be found.

I'm sorry your special little trip goodies are missing. They could still show up.

I know that you are going to have such a wonderful trip with Dub and the munchkins! Take tons of pictures, okay?

(And why not drop DISShopKeeper a PM and find out how long it would take to get replacements? You never know, she might be able to find a little pixie dust to help a stressed out DIS mommy...)

I know how you feel! I agree they're probably in the last place you would think of. DS 3 1/2 took my tennis shoes last month. He was wearing them and walking around the house. Then I went to put them on later that day and couldn't find them. I asked him where they were, he said he forgot. I searched everywhere, the laundry room where we keep all the shoes, his room, the playroom, nothing. I finally found them the next day in the front hall closet on the shoe rack that we NEVER use. When I showed them to DS, he said oh, yeah, now I remembered! Really, after I already found them you remembered!

I'm sure they'll turn up before your trip. Maybe she really forgot where she put them, she might remember tomorrow! Good luck!!

Hey thanks so much for the moral support. Kathy it's great to "see" you girl. And TIger Lily you where RIGHT. I FOUND my goodies! I kneeled down next to my suitcases and unzipped it then i held my precious fanny dis pack in my hands and unzipped again to see the empty front pounch BUT what's that i FEEL in my LEFT hand! OH MY there is a BACK zipper back there with my GOODIES in it!

Atleast she TRIED to put them back. Oh i'm so relieved i really wanted those goodies for my trip and now (for now atleast) they are secured once again.

Here's a good one. I get in the car to go to work i set my purse down and i'm thinking boy it's light today and i realize i have no WALLETT ie no MONEY. So i rush back in the house rally the nanny, and the girls and beg for mommies wallett. Emily pipes up i'll get it for you mommie and she runs down the hall in 20 seconds she comes flying back with my wallett it hand for me. Did you loose it mommie? LOL Yeah emmie mom lost it. Silly me. Oh the stories do go on. She has a great hiding spot too for her extra special goodies like my kitchen scissors and the tongs. Behind my husbands recliner it has some velcro at the bottom and she'll undo it and stash her finds up the back of the recliner. I am just thankful Jessica is a tattle tail. She's my sweety that never gets into to deep trouble anyways. LOL THanks everyone for the moral support.

had to share, my DD was in kindergarten and wanted to play pirate. Took a bunch of beaded necklaces as her "loot" Also took my pearl necklace I got from DH as a wedding gift. We couldn't find it. Boy were we frantic. 3 days later found it in a bag in the craft bucket. I got that same thing "oh that's right I put it in the bag" She hasn't been allowed to try on my jewelry since.

Mermaid i sooo feel you girl. I got a 12yo who has decided she likes all my clothes and jewerly better than her own. I went to get my jacket monday for the chill day and it was gone she got off the bus the next evening wearing it. I have misplaced my life i think. All my kids have taken pieces of it and hid it from me.
