What is the difference of checking out of DVC vs a regular Disney resort room that renters should know about? Checkout time is 11:00 at both places- correct? Is it less acceptable to check out late when staying at a DVC for some reason?Member cause these problems, either by doing this themselves with no regard to others trying to get a room after them or members that rent and do not explain the differences in DVC versus a stay a non DVC resort.

I don't understand some DVC Owners at all!
This makes me so mad!![]()
I mean, I am an OWNER! I paid a lot of money to buy my points, and I pay my outrageous MF each and every year.
I own a percentage of theis resort, and I'll check-out when I'm good and ready.
You self-hating, apologetic Owners are what are wrong with the DVC.
If a Manager or Mousekeeper ever tried to rush me and my family, I'd just point out, that I pay their salaries, if they don't like it they should quit, or go work at SSR!
Now, on the other hand, when we arrive at 10:30 AM or so, our room better be ready (I know about the 'after 4PM rule'). And if it's not I just point out that.....

Maybe it is a NorthEast 'bad' DVCer thing. You guys are way to soft and accomidating. No wonder poop is smeared on your bathroom doors!
And that guy who didn't pay for 'loosing' the safe key, why he ripped all of us honest, dues paying, reasonable & responsable DVC Owners off! That manager should be fired!

Yes, this is one of 'those' posts.....

Giraffe poop too ... but I guess it depends on which Savannah View you get.
I usually wind up getting out with just enough time to get over to the front desk to tell them I'm gone. That's because I have to load my own vehicle and because I make sure I process the room so the cleaning staff can get through it quickly.
I think it would help tremedously if we could check out via the television like some hotels have. Or even by the telephone. When anyone other than an owner checks in they should have to leave a credit card so they can be fined if they check out late. DVC owners would still be charged but it could go on top of their maintenance fees if they so choose.[/QUOTE
DVC owners can do express checkout if you leave a credit card on file. Then there is no need to go to the front desk....just call mousekeeping to let them know you are out of there.
BTW, someone talked about putting out the please make up room sign. I am almost positive that there is no such animal at BCV....it just says Do Not Disturb on both sides. I do think that would be a great solution though. Then the Housekeepers could readily see which rooms were vacant and ready to clean.
Halleluiah! Just when I was bummed that the poop threads had died!![]()

I know for a fact that BCV23 is right about the fact that, unfortunately, the little signs don't say "Please Make Up the Room". They say "Privacy Please" on both sides. Don't make me confess how I know.
