Docked on our 4 Wonder cruises...
Feb 2005
Nov 2004
April 2004

April 2004 was rainy in the morning (not perfect conditions...but we still enjoyed the beach that morning) but it cleared up. We had a gorgeous afternoon. The other 3 times we had wonderful weather.

5 for 5
Jan2000 , August 2001 , Nov 2002, nov 2003, Nov 2004 all Magic 7 day all beautiful days on Castaway Cay

Cruised DCL 2 times, docked at CC 2 times. Weather was beautiful both times!

The 1st time we cruised was Dec. 2000. We had weather in the 80's in both Nassua and on CC. The CM's were saying how the past 3 weeks, they had cold, rainy weather, and this was the 1st nice week they had. So we were very lucky.

The 2nd time we cruised, was last April, and GORGEOUS weather!

Next cruise is booked for September, hurricane season. I am hoping we hold onto our "luck"

We've only cruised once so far. It was on the Magic for the turn of the new millenium. We were at sea from 12/29/99 to 1/03/00.

It was FANTASTIC! Weather was beautiful, champagne flowed every night. We stopped at C.C. and absolutely loved it. An unforgetable vacation!

We cruised back in January on the 3-day. We were able to dock at CC, but some of the excursions were cancelled because of the sea conditions. We had the Glass Bottom Boat reserved, but missed out because of cancellations. No big deal to us though...Maybe next time!
As far as the weather, it was warm, but the water was a little cool. I thought it was nice, because it wasn't too hot, but yet it was warm enough!
HTH!

Thanks for posting this poll as I am curious and wish I would have seen it before our cruise however from seeing the responses so far I would assume you usually make it!

Unfortunately for us on Feb 27-Mar 3/05 after 3 attempts in two days we did not make it (so you could say we are 0 for 3).

The weather was sunny and a little cool but nothing we Canadians couldn't handle. A bit of a breeze.

October '99 - missed Castaway Cay - Island damaged month before in hurricane. We sailed to CC and anchored offshore for boats to bring supplies ashore.

May '01 - docked at CC - weather was beautiful

May '02 - docked at CC - weather was beautiful

February '03 - docked twice at CC - weather was beautiful - water was cold

May '03 - docked at CC - weather was beautiful

December '04 - docked at CC - weather was cloudy and cool. Lagoon was closed due to break in netting. All excursions (except bikes) cancelled.

We are 100% on four cruises: May, 2001, Dec. 2002, Dec. 2003 and Dec. 2004. Spectacular weather on cruises 1, 3 and 4. On cruise 2 the weather was great all morning, then it became very chilly and cloudy and started to rain just as we reboarded the ship (sometime after 3 PM).

Missed it. We were on the Sept 3 day Wonder that turned into the 5 day Wonder because of Ivan. We missed CC, missed Bahama's, but made it to Cozumel for a day.

2 for 2 :goodvibes

Oct/2000 - weather was beautiful
Sept/2003 - pouring rain that morning but we still got off the ship - cleared up in less than an hour and was pretty the rest of the day.

We docked no problem; windy, partly cloudy; too cold to swim and all excursions were canceled. We still had a fun time but we are going to try September next time (I'll be crossing my fingers for no hurricanes but it should be warm enough!).

Are you trying to statistically find out how many and why the ships have not docked???

Just asking because another Dis member did an extensive complilation of info and put together statistically how many times the ships missed CC in each month for the past several years. Just wanted you to know so you don't make yourself nuts trying to do what has already been done!!

But, in answer to your poll....we have only missed CC once in 13 cruises. It was this past September and it was due to damage from Hurricane Jeanne (not the actually hurricane weather, because the day we were to dock was beautiful, we just could not dock due to the damage left behind).

Sailed 3/6/04 Magic. Docked at CC and had a beautiful day - temps in the high 70's. The water was little chilly, but not enough to stop you from swimming. The air temp was cooler than I like, but the sun was warm so we didn't feel cold at all.

3 for 3 but on our lat cruise this past November 4 (so CC was on November 6) it was so rainy that many excursions were canceled and we couldn't get our souviner photo in front of the ship that we normally do. :(

1st SCL cruise, Dec 4-7, 2003 (honeymoon)

Rained pretty much the whole 3 days. Big swells the first night, but not too bad on CC day. However, captain thought the seas were too rough to park!

January 10, 2004 Magic - docked at CC on Jan. 16.. day was beautfiul, 78 degrees. Gorgeous!!!!

We are 2 for 2 here April 2001 and Sept 19 2004
