Please Advise WL Room Request ?s

I have lots of questions regarding room requests and was hoping someone could assist. How many requests can you make? How soon can you make these requests? What is the best room request if you are staying in a standard view at the WL?

Sorry to interrupt my own thread...But I have another question...I am not clear who to call and where to find the phone numbers to call for requests...thank you again.

You should just call Central Reservations, or whoever you made the reservation with. As for room requests, I was just told today that WL standard rooms come with 2 queen beds only, so they won't even put a request for anything different. As for location or other requests, you can call and have that added on at any time, but I get the impression that they don't do room assignments until close to check in.

Maybe someone else can tell you a good standard room location to ask for, but I imagine the less specific you are about your room, the better chance for an upgrade....maybe?

Also, remember that a request is just that...a request. There are no guarantees.

For our August trip, I made no requests at all. We booked a standard room at WL. My kids were hoping for bunk beds, but I'd learned just a few weeks prior to our arrival that they were not available in a standard view room.

Undaunted, when it was my turn in the check-in line I very politely asked the CM if there happened to be any bunk-bedded rooms available; that my kids were hoping for one, and I promised them I'd ask. Cue the pixie dust, and we ended up with an awesome courtyard-view room with bunks (looked toward the pool area) on the first floor, just a short walk to the food court and very quiet location.

Moral of the story is...you can make them before arriving, and still not get them. You can make no requests at all until you're standing at the desk, and luck out. You just never know.
