Just found out my brother-in-law & family (2 pre-teen daughters) are coming to visit next month and want us to take them to Disney World (June 19-23). Now, I'm not complaining...I'm totally excited, but I've never been to Disney in the Summer (only April, October, December)...so I'm a little uncertain of what to expect with the crowds. Also - it's too late for any Resort Discount Codes. So here's my plan. I appreciate any advice I can get...

I typically stay on-site, but without a discount code...well, that's out of the question. I'm assuming that with the Summer crowds, we should stay at a Downtown Disney Hotel so we can take advantage of E-nights and access to Unlimited Hopper Passes.

Our party will be 4 adults and 2 pre-teen girls. Rooms are available at the Doubletree in Downtown Disney, (mousesavers rate) of $119. per night. I'm thinking we will get 2 suites for 4 nights and take advantage of the 6/20 E-ticket night at MK.

We will be checking-in Thursday late-afternoon and checking-out Monday Morning. We've got 3 full days, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) & the girls really want to go to a waterpark. I think our best option will be Ultimate Park Hoppers. But, I only need them for 3 days/2 nights. Or if I can get 3 day hoppers with a plus option somewhere.

Any thoughts? Advice? please.

Have you tried calling CRO, and asking if there are any discounts available for your travel dates? It never hurts to ask, I always say..

Also, hopefully someone else can confirm, but I don't think the DoubleTree will get you E-rides or UPH's.

Ciao,
Mort.

Info on the DIS site says:
Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket
These passes provide unlimited admission to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot. MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, River Country, Blizzard Beach, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest and Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. They must be purchased by ALL members in your party, and must be for the full length of your reservation. Additional days are available through Guest Services or Central Reservations. These passes are available to any guest staying at a Walt Disney World property, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, and Downtown Disney area resorts.

I also read on Laughing Place.com that: Guests at Shades of Green, the Swan or Dolphin, Doubletree near Downtown Disney or Best Western Lake Buena Vista are eligible for E-Ride tickets. However, you may need to purchase your E-Ride ticket at another resort or a theme park guest services window.

Can anyone with first-hand experience confirm or deny?

Thanks!!!

first hand...

we stayed at the Wyndham Palace Aug 2001 - and purchased E ride tickets
