Pleasant Surprise: To FW this Weekend!

Gil and Glenna,

We're close to Philadelphia, too. We go to Lancaster on those, "let's get away for the week-end," trips.

We are hoping to go to Lancaster one more time this year before winterizing, but the fall calendar is starting to fill up. And, as for Disney, thinking to head there in 2013.

Well, so much for up to date trip reports.:confused3 We've been home for almost two weeks now, and finally a report!! We had reservations for the Keys to the Kingdom tour on our last day, and to say that we enjoyed it would be an understatement. Finally, after all these years, we got to see the utilidoors, and other areas of the park that are normally off limits to visitors. The tour lasted almost six hours, and we enjoyed every minute of it! Next visit, I would LOVE to do the train tour. Getting to see the roundhouse and maintenance area of the railroad would be great.

For now, it's back to dreaming of our next visit, and back to the jobs that allow us to enjoy these short vacations. Just 8 more months!:rolleyes1

Do the Steam Train Tour. I did Keys maybe 10 years ago (do they still take you down to the utilidors through the door in the Fantasyland gift shop?). I loved the tour of the roundhouse. I wish now I had roamed around more.

PS - I remember coming out of the utilidors back into the park somewhere near the Columbia Harbour House restaurant....

Well, your memory after 10 years is better than mine after two weeks! We did emerge from the utilidors near the Columbia Harbour House, but I just don't remember going in at the Fantasyland gift shop. I was thinking it was near the Crystal Palace, but can't say for sure. I am really anxious for a return trip, and doing the Train Tour!
