Plaza with Walk-Up Questions

Does anybody have any idea how the new walk-up procedure will work at the Plaza Restaurant at the MK? We are going in September and already have a pre-park opening ADR at the Crystal Palace at 8:05. The only ADR's for the Plaza are going to be from 11am-Noon. That would be way to early for us after such a large breakfast. We would like to eat in the 1-1:30 range. Will they be taking walk-up times in the morning? Or will we have to wait until our desired lunch time to check in? We really would like to eat there but don't feel like waiting and hour to eat. Any help would be appreciated.

What you are describing is not a walk up, but a same day reservation made at the podium.. With a walk up, you take your chances that they can seat you with a relatively short wait. Given how small the Plaza is, I can see some pretty long waits. Or a lot of unhappy people looking elsewhere for lunch.

I feel the same way. I wonder why Disney is doing this.
