Plaza Restaurant or Cosmic Rays

Should I keep my ADR at Plaza or just do a counter service like Cosmic Ray's for dinner before Spectromagic? If we do Plaza I will be paying OOP but if we go Cosmic Rays I will is a DDP CS credit.

IMO keep the $ & do CS at Cosmic Rays -- saves time, too. CR has quite a large amount of choices, too.

We really enjoyed the Plaza when we ate there.
If it were us, I would look at my whole DDP plan and then decide. I would go to Cosmic Rays if I was going to end up not using some CS credits. But the Plaza is a far nicer experience, IMO.

We really like the Plaza....it's a TS credit though. Probably the least expensive TS restaurant (not a good use of a TS credit), but we really enjoyed it.

It depends on your restaurant plans. We were so tired on the same old burgers/hotdogs/CS options, that a nice warm sandwich (Reuben or steak/onion..about $11 each) and a nice quiet table looking at the castle was INVITING and RELAXING. We actually paid for this meal, and saved our TS credits for a more expensive dining experience.

We liked it so much that we went twice last week. Once, it was raining, so all the ADRs must have cancelled and they got us in for lunch and then another night during Spectro we had to wait about 20 minutes. NO ressies either time, and it was nice to look at the castle and watch Spectro!

I guess it's a good meal, and it's alot quicker than most TS meals. We spent 1 hour and 45 minutes at Coral Reef last week....and we only have 4 people in our party. It was a long meal!

My husband and I decided that there seems to only be two options at disney...overpriced Table Service and Fast Food Counter Service. I wish they had a middle of the road option...something like a TGIF or a Chili's....but, I understand whey they don't.

Cosmic Rays is nice because there are more options than at most CS places. In addition to burgers there is rotisserie chicken.

For my it would be OOP for The Plaza, unless you're going to end up with the CS credit left over if you don't use it then. I love The Plaza. I'm going down a night early, just to eat there. It's great sandwhiches. If you want something more then just a sandwhich then I do suggest that you go to Cosmic Rays.

We tried The Plaza for the first time this past trip and fell in love with it! As previously stated the prices are right, we paid OOP. We had Plaza Club Sandwiches that were great and DH had a huge Banana Split. The ambiance is just lovely and so worth another trip!!!

I have a crazy question. How long has the Plaza restaurant been in the MK, for years? For some reason, I don't remember so many great reviews about this place all the time I've been on the Dis. And we've never tried it.

Couldn't agree more! We usually use our last table service credit on this for the last lunch before we head to the airport for our return trip home. We just love it--but I have to have the Hot Fudge Sundae instead of the Banana Split.

Another vote for the Plaza...I think it's definitely worth paying OOP, unless you have leftover CS (then I'd have to go with the CS). We love it there - great food and awesome ice cream sundaes for dessert. It's actually my DH's favorite place in the whole World. That's where he requested to go for his birthday in March.

Mmm both are so good! The Plaza is wonderful...I have never had a bad meal and I always make it a point to eat there each trip. However, if you are looking to save time AND money I'd go with Cosmic Ray's.
