I don't see too much written about this restaurant. Is is good? Can you get last minute ADR's or possibly even get in as a walk in mid-afternoon?

The menu looks good, but not worth a TS dining credit. I was thinking of it as a possible OOP late lunch/early dinner on one of our MK days.

Thanks,

A little gem hidden that many don't talk about. Good for sandwiches, salads and ice cream. We have usually been able to just walk up and eat but we don't tryy it at prime time lunch time. Most people don't go there becasue they think the same way, waste of a TS credit. I have never been on the dining plan so this does not influence me.

Yes, it's very good. :goodvibes

Mainly sandwiches & salads. There are some other options, but not a huge selection.

It's a great little place & I would make an ADR, but I'm sure it's like any other place - it's hit or miss if you can do a walk-in or not.

Hi Jill,
I ate at The Plaza for the first time on my last trip in October and in my opinion it was delicious. It's a relatively simple place with great sandwiches and salads. My mother ordered a salad and said it was the best salad she'd had in a long time. We did not have ADR's here but we went mid-afternoon as well and were told it'd be about a 15 minute wait. We went to sit down and wait and within 2 minutes we were seated. The interior is cheery and totally fits in with the happy early century Main Street theme!
I give it a :thumbsup2

There was a discussion about the Plaza a few days ago, which you can link to here

Certainly, in our opinion it is a good (and relatively cheap compared to other TS places) option for a TS in Magic Kingdom. The location is great, service is good and the food, while not haute cuisine, is tasty enough.

Thanks for the quick replies and link. I may add it as an ADR as we are going end of May when it will be fairly busy.:)

It has become one of our few must-dos every trip. We love thes andwiches, fries and the chocolate shakes. And my DH loves the sundaes!

My family and I had lunch there in August 2006 which happen to be during free dinning at the time (which we were not on) and we got to make an ADR there 2 days before and not at 180 days out. So I would think this is one location that's easy to get last minute ADR's at. I also thought the food was ok however I am not sure if we would go back there, because we wanted to try a new place at that time.

We "found" the Plaza on our last trip in December. We usually eat at Tony's for dinner one night and then for lunch on our last day. It has been a tradition for years. However, this year we were less than impressed with Tony's (this was a first--we have never had a bad experience before). When it came time to do our "last day lunch", my DS emphatically said no to Tony's. I suggested the Plaza. We stopped in the day before to get an ADR and it was well worth it. DS had steak and cheese; DH and I had the Club sandwich. This will be our "last meal" from now on.
