Plaza Restaurant and Fireworks

I just reserved The Plaza for 8:35 on July 3rd. The fireworks are scheduled for 9:00. Has anyone eaten at the Plaza during fireworks and can you get a good view from inside the resaurant or do you need to go outside?

Doesn't the restaurant have a skrim over the building right now? If it still does, there is no view out the windows at all.
