Plaza Inn question

We are taking our first trip to DL this September. I have a reservation at Plaza Inn at 10:40 for
breakfast. Since breakfast is only served until 11 are we cutting ourselves short as far as character time
or food not being replenished? TIA

Yes. Move it earlier. I have definitely read complaints of the people who scheduled late breakfasts and are upset because their character time gets cut off. Don't risk it.

We always schedule the last reservation and have never had our character time cut short or rushed. Food was still being prepared and everything that was out was hot. The fewest characters we have seen has been 9.

We have experienced a lack of food and characters when we have gone close to the 11am closing time.

Now we make sure to book no later than 10am.

We booked for 1040 and really enjoyed it! They let us know when they were going to switch over soon and we just piled up some plates! Everything was still available then and people had really cleared out, it was so peaceful!

We've "closed the place down" so to speak, it was fine. All the characters make sure to meet everyone when they clear the room for lunch.

Also, I'm fairly certain breakfast goes past 11 AM, they just stop taking reservations. I'm looking at my pictures from there from last year and based on the time stamps we were there about 1.5 hours. I believe we had reservations at 10:30 and left around 12 pm.

We have been to WDW many times but this is our first time at DL and I just can't seem
to get a handle on a touring plan. Thanks again!

We always book at 10:30. We have never had an issue with food changing over or characters. We have never seen less than 7 characters, and we have seen up to 13. One year, the restaurant was not very busy at that time when we were there, and the characters kept coming back to our table to play with DD, since they did not have other tables left to see. We like that time because we don't lose the early morning park time with shorter lines. We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and I think we saw 11 characters this time.

We book the latest we can (usually 10:40), and have never had a problem. Quite the opposite, in fact. We have great character interactions because there are fewer diners. And the food situation has never been a problem, either.

The first time we did the Plaza for breakfast I had a 10:30 reservation. We barely saw any characters and I had to get a CM to bring a couple by our table. The last few times we had a 9:30 reservation and had not issues, tons of characters.

We had a similar experience to several other posters: at a 10:30 breakfast, several characters we noticed greeting guests when we arrived never made it to our table. We had to ask cast members to bring over characters we had not seen yet. DD was disappointed that the Fairy Godmother, who was greeting when we arrived, left before our table.

If you're able, I would reschedule to 10:00.
